Hot dog was stale. Ordered a loaded chili dog. Fries were overcooked. Place only accepts cash. We're still in a pandemic and cash is the only form of payment. Place is usually packed to the point where you can't get down the street. Very disappointing lunch. NY makes better hot dogs. Sorry.

A Charlottesville institution since I went to UVA in the 80s. A must if you're in town. Try the foot long hot dog with chili & onions. The Greek salad is also excellent. I would have given it 5 stars but they don't take credit cards. I had to use an expensive ATM to get the money I need it for my meal. Make sure you have cash with you. Some of the Charlottesville institutions have been closing down recently. E.g. Little John's. Support this iconic spot.

I tried this place on the recommendation of coworkers, as my family is from out of town. Let me say that I am so glad we did. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was terrific and very attentive. I want to point out three things if you have never been before; 1.)They only take cash, but they have an ATM in the building if you need it. 2.) They serve their breakfast menu all day. 3.) There's lots of parking on the side and at the back of the building :)

Always stop by at least once when we visit Charlottesville! The burger is greasy, but so good! The fries with the seasoning salt are my favorite! If you like hot dogs, get the foot long. Not sure if I love this place for the memories or the food, but regardless I'll be back next year!

Saw my Daughter's walking back to the car and they Mom this is good. Got say enjoyed the Ice Cream cone & was extremely large....Had that true vanilla taste... Truly worth its $ 3.50...

I never would've guessed this unassuming little place would have such delicious food and attentive service. They even have veggie burgers!! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly! Just be sure to bring CASH. They don't take cards. We'll be back!

Been here several times. It's a staple of Charlottesville and always good if you like diner food. Bring cash, though. No card transactions. There is an atm in the back tho if you need it. 2.75 fee

Tried for the first time today. Definitely was expecting better food. Hotdog was kind of cold. Chili was subpar. Definitely not what im used to when it cones to a good chili dog. Probably not fair to compare to Detroit coneys but im used to much better coneys. Fries were super crispy and slightly over cooked.
