We normally order off the menu (the vegetarian samosa and lamb tika kabob are delicious) but decided to give the buffet a try again. In the past, we found the chicken at the buffet to be a little on the dry side but today it was tender and flavorful and was so incredibly delicious! We've only been gone from the restaurant for a few hours and I'm already craving it again :-)
My sister & I were looking into somewhere new to eat and we chose here and I’m very glad we did. We came here for dinner and the atmosphere was very chill and calm and the staff was extremely nice. I ordered combo #1 ( chicken & ground beef) and I was very impressed. I loved the price and how much food came with the entree. I will definitely be coming here again!
What a delight! Mildly spicy and delicious is the right definition of the food here. An amazing find!

Really delicous food, and great service. When we get delivery, the drivers are extremely courteous and kind. The food is very flavorful, and they almost always throw in a little "extra" when we order. If you live or work nearby, the lunch buffet is also a great deal. Don't miss it!
This restaurant was an unexpected delight during our visit to Charlottesville last July. The atmosphere was wonderful, but the food made it memorable. We will come through Charlottesville and eat here again.
Generous portions at a reasonable price. Very tasty. Best brown rice I have ever eaten. Tender lamb.

Decor was very nice. Salmon and chicken curry was great. The squash was delish. The saffron tea did not have much taste. We will try other teas next time.

Wow! Wonderful food and excellent service. We ordered takeout and everything was done on time, and well packaged. The dinner for 4 is a fantastic choice if you are not sure because of all the options included.
The kebobs are super flavorful and expertly cooked. The saffron rice is fluffy and a generous portion. And the dumplings were just next level flavor combo. I can't wait to go back. They also have vegetarian options clearly indicated on the menu.
One of my most memorable and enjoyable dining experiences of recent years. It’s absurd and very misleading that this place only has a 4.3 rating. The food was delicious and clearly made with a great deal of love and pride. The Qabuli Palow is just as good as anything in Central Asia. The vegetarian kabob was very flavorful. The interior decor was warm and full of Afghan character.
Our waiter was a lovely young man who came from Afghanistan only four months ago. America is lucky to have him here now. He is still learning English but couldn’t be any sweeter.

Absolutely phenomenal value - we got the “Complete dinner for two” ($50) and it will last us for 3 days - 6 meals or so for a value of about $8/meal. Massive portions. I have been told by a friend that the food is authentically Afghan and I can say from my own experience that it is delicious. Nothing felt like it was neglected, even the rice was so well spiced and didn’t feel like an obligation. The service was a bit slow but it may be because the servers are new. If atmosphere isn’t important to you, this is a great casual place for anyone looking for something different from Western and Asian food.

Food was absolutely excellent, so adorable for such cast quantities, and the staff were SO nice. Cannot believe I've never been here with all the time I've lived in Charlottesville! 11/10, definitely will come again!
