Delicious food, great service, awesome Turkish beer, friendly staff.....all smiles, and one of the best desserts I have ever had.
Nice place. Friendly staff. I had the lamb shish plate, and the lamb was seasoned perfect, and amazingly tender and juicy. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
This is one of our favorite places to dine! The food is always authentic and delicious. The location is fantastic; right in the heart of downtown Charlottesville. The owners and staff are kind and attentive. I am a vegetarian and my husband is Gluten Free. The choices are plentiful. We keep coming back for more!
One of my favorite Cville restaurants. Both exotic and down home flavors in every dish I've had. Interesting Turkish wines on the list. Front of house service is fantastic and the kitchen never leaves you waiting to starve to death. Their new location is very open and airy with easy parking options.
Our meal last night was delicious...in spite of it riding around in the Grub Hub car for an hour. We are only a few blocks away so next time we will dine in or pick up ourselves. Lesson learned. I can't imagine how wonderful it will be fresh and hot!
The food was all delicious. I generally do not like Baklava and the Baklava here is the most delicious that I have ever had. Also, dolmas were served warm, which was a new experience for me....they were amazing. We will be back.

We got the vegan platters and some Turkish wine � on our first visit, and it was a wonderful experience! The first plates coming out vegetarian instead, but this was quickly and cheerfully corrected. The music was lovely, the mural is beautiful, and people watching through the large windows is always a good time! We're lucky we don't live too close because we'd eat there all the time.
Visited the restaurant today and had the vegetarian option... Delicious sampler of different options in the menu. Thank you also for the explanation about the souvenier I bought (Dervis dance, Mevlana). Kind service and excellent food! Totally recommended!

Went with friends, sharing 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, and every dessert on the menu. Standouts were the GRILLED HALLOUMI CHEESE and KÜNEFE. Customer service was fantastic.
A light and flavorful baba ganoush. Adana kebab was well executed.

Most recently I ordered through Grubhub, who took unreasonably long to send a delivery driver. Totally not the fault of the restaurant. When I called to see if I could pick up, the man that answered the phone said he would personally deliver my food if the driver didn't show up. You can't beat that level of commitment to the customer

Great Turkish food and great service. Very friendly. I was stationed in Izmir Turkey in 76 to 78. The people at this restaurant and food took me back to the same great experience we had then. Loved it

The restaurant was a very pleasant experience. The food was excellent and service was excellent . I highly recommend it.
A wonderful experience. We lived in the Middle East for a number of years and enjoyed Turkish cuisine there and on the Mediterranean islands of Cyprus and Malta. Our lunch was as good or superior to any we have had anywhere. We will be back.

Delicious kebabs with good portion sizes. Came here after a hike in the Blue Ridge and it definitely filled us up. Service was great and attentive. Everyone was very nice. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
Excellent value and delicious. Welcoming staff and helpful. Lots of options on the menu. We had the vegetarian platter which had nothing we didn't like on it and the Iskender kebab platter with way more food than I could handle. The yogurt was excellent and authentic. Excellent value

This restaurant is located in the downtown mall in Charlottesville Virginia. The ambience is really nice and it has indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is really polite and nice. The menu has really good number of options for vegetarians and vegans. I had the yoghurt Kizartma for starters. It’s a cold appetizer with fried eggplant, potatoes and bell peppers in a yoghurt sauce sprinkle with spices. IIT was served with the traditional lavash bread. The sweetness from the bread was a perfect compliment for the tanginess of the yoghurt sauce and the spices from the fried eggplant and peppers. For the mains, I ordered the Sultan veggie platter. This consisted of the dolma( stuffed grape leaves), kisri ( spicy tabouleh), white bean salad, roasted red pepper hummus, mashed potatoes, rice, babah ghanoush and the lavash bread. I really liked the mashed potatoes and the hummus, although every single item was really delicious. Overall it was a very tasty affair and will certainly recommend people to give it a try.
Wonderful dinner. The chef is magnificent. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is out of this world. Best thing in Charlottesville.
