After visiting my uncles in charlotte we were in need of food! We found this place on Google and I said they ain’t gonna be open on a Sunday… sure enough they were! With chitterlings, oxtails, turkey wings etc and more on the menu I had to try a few things! My wife and i got the turkey necks, chitterlings, and pepper steak… mind blown! The food was amazing! Semi-Fast! And succulent! Well worth the price and time. Have patience as orders are handwritten and prepared to order. BUT OH SO WORTH THE WAIT
Great service and food. If you want for fast but not fast food go here. I love our food getting a home cooked meal for my family on busy nights when I don't have the time to cook! People that work here are nice to.

HO-LEEEEEE MOSES this quick trip to Charlotte is gonna spoil me. I can feel it already, and I've only been here 2 hours! 🤣
I knew I was in the right place when I walked in the door and was greeted by a sweet man yelling, "talk to me," instead of can I take your order. He had me chuckling from the very start. But when he started sweetly yelling for his auntie to come up front and help him, he just melted my heart.
I haven't had oxtails in a hot minute, so when I saw them on their menu, I jumped and let out a little squeel. They are served over rice and doused in gravy. You get your choice of 2 sides out of a long list of sides to choose from. Of course, I had to have the candied yams and collards because who doesn't choose those sides in a soul food restaurant????!!!! It was all delicious, but them oxtails had me acting like a dog and chewing on the bones to savor every bite. I was kind enough to save 1 for my husband to try since he's never had them before. But he better get back to the hotel quickly before I change my mind! 🤣🤣
If you ever make it down to Charlotte, NC, I absolutely recommend checking them out. If I were here for more than an overnight trip, I'd go back and try the fish and chicken too.
The food was very good and people were friendly. I only had one small complaint which might have been my own misunderstanding I asked for a croaker sandwich and got two huge pieces that were entree size and not filleted. I guess I was expecting a filleted smaller portion sandwich. Like I said maybe I didn't know because it was my first time there. But it was excellent though.
I had chicken livers, pintos, greens and cornbread. The food was good but way to much salt. Please ease up on the salt. I may try it one more time but if it's still as salty my blood pressure want let me go back. My food was almost $15.00 for not a huge serving. To expensive.
This food was so good the chicken was good yams were sweet collar had no flavor red velvets cake was tasty corn bread was old school and good ! Highly recommended
The food was delicious amazing and awesome. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Now my favorite place to eat.
In Charlotte and wanted some good home cooked food. Checked this spot out and the food was delicious. The amount of food for the price was on point. The desserts are fabulous. This is definitely a place to go to again when in Charlotte…
The food here is great, but be prepared to wait a bit. The staff is very warm and kind, but they get an influx of orders and there’s few staff.
Wow....Me and my family enjoyed those chilling were on point...delicious....will be back soon....
