My wife and I went here for lunch yesterday. I had a Turkey burger, it was moist and flavorful. My wife had a tofu salad she said it was one of the best salads she had every had. We will be back their soon. The service was also excellent.
I had the Northwest omelette and my friend had the hash brown something. The omelette was good, but nothing great. My friend loved his meal. The potions and service were perfect for the amount paid. I will likely be back to try something other than the omelettes since they had stuffed French toast which I almost picked!
Top notch service. Amazed by the attentive service received by both the staff and management. Servers have the "tag team" approach so you never have to worry about a glass being empty or food not coming out quickly. Entire staff seems to really care and are eager to have satisfied customers. Food is impeccable and the gluten free items are a welcome addition to their menu since that can be hard to find sometimes. Absolutely will return and highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks for a great experience!
Was delightfully surprised with the pleasant atmosphere and superior service this afternoon at Toast Cafe Ballantyne. It's nice to feel welcomed and cared for by not only the servers but also by the manager.
Excellent service. Great food. I was given three choices for how I wanted my poached eggs for my Florentine Eggs Benedict. Never been asked that before, even in an upscale restaurant. Impressive. They came out just the way I requested. I do agree with a previous reviewer that the hollandaise needs more lemon. But my breakfast was still delicious.
Stellar Service. Both times that I have been to Toast so far, have been seriously awesome.
My husband and I took my parents there for their first time recently.
My step-dad had a problem with his eggs being too runny. It was taken back and brought back out. Eggs were still runny. The rest of the meal was outstanding.
At the very least, I expected that dish to be comped. Not for a second did I expect the entire meal to be comped. I actually thought that was unnecessary.
It just goes to show the dedication and pride of ownership that is there. I will continue to eat at Toast. It is my favorite brunch spot.

Great Food; Very Consistent and Stellar Customer Service!. We eat out every Saturday and Sunday meeting our daughter for breakfast. We look for good food, service and consistency of the quality of the food. We want to enjoy a meal, not having to send things back, because we want good food NOT a free meal! I guess it is obvious we haven't found this at many places in South Charlotte! Toast Cafe Ballantyne is the exception, and we love going there every weekend! Today was the first time there was a small issue and the server did what she could; and then let management know right away. It is an understatement to say it was handled very well!
It is obvious Customer Service is important at Toast and we also love the fact the menu is varied, so we don't get tired going back and back and back again.
Thanks Toast Ballantyne!
Cute little breakfast/brunch spot with an extensive menu of both food and brunch cocktails. We went for breakfast and they were very busy but we only waited 5-10 minutes for a table. With friendly staff and delicious food, this was a great experience overall and a favorite breakfast spot for us. The 'Stuffed French Toast with Strawberries and Cream Cheese' was one of the most delicious breakfast foods I've ever tried!
We had a great time at Famous Toastery. They were able to get us seated (group of 7) so much sooner than other restaurants were, and we really enjoyed our meals. I had the Breakfast Bowl from the special menu and it was delicious. They also have really good espresso! Most restaurants don't, and I'm a latte drinker, so I really appreciated that. Great service as well. We'll definitely be back.
First time at this location. Seated immediately. Food came within 10 min. Service excellent, food exceptional. Recommend.
Nice brunch spot in Ballantyne. Had to wait a while to get a table. There were enough tables inside but may be they are short on staff. The food was great. We got the flapjacks, the egg white omelette, the pancakes and the avacado benedict.

A lot of food for great prices, the grits were not very good (watery). Greek omelette, breakfast quesadilla, western omelette, and Apple cinnamon pancakes were all AMAZING!
Rumosa and fresh squeezed orange juice so good! Highly recommend a Sunday brunch here. Only downside is the tables are small, which made it a challenge to navigate dishes with 4 of us. Service was great Jeremy was very attentive.
Food was excellent; first visit to this restaurant (In addition to this location). Service was very good. Quick staff. Understood the menu well.. The food was excellent - The adult and the children's meals. (5 of us, 3 kids under 11). We will absolutely be going again. Maybe another location to see if they're all as good as this. We're the base of them
This is my favorite breakfast spot. I go here all the time because I live in the neighborhood. Their staff and manager are so friendly even when they are very busy. The food is always delicious and the mimosa flights are even better.
My girlfriends and I visited for brunch this past Sunday and we had a blast! We arrived shortly after 12p and experienced a wait time, which was expected since it's Sunday brunch, but we didn't mind because the time went by fast as we chatted while waiting to be seated. The location is tucked away in a Ballantyne shopping plaza across from a pub and a farmers market, very welcoming scenery, with a front porch, family reunion, vibe. I loved it!
We were seated and immediately greeted by our waiter who took our drink orders. Of course we started off with waters and lemon but then, mimosa time! The orange juice was freshly squeezed and you certainly haven't tasted a mimosa until you've had one with fresh squeezed oranges. It's a wonderful distinction from bottled juice from concentrate with champagne. There is a machine located near the bar area, where you can watch the oranges get cold pressed. I enjoyed the small attention to every detail in the crafted menu and drinks.
The waiter returned for our food order and we each ordered something different to add variety to our table. I ordered the crab scramble, with wheat toast, and grits. (You have an option of toast. They offer white, wheat, or rye) One of my girlfriends ordered shrimp and grits, and my other girlfriend ordered the Western omelet with potatoes and white toast. Everything was DELISH! My grits were just right, creamy/not watery, my crab scramble had real crab, not imitation meat, so I was immediately sold from the description on the menu, and it did not disappoint once it came to the table.
Did I mention we were there for brunch? Haha, so we ordered mimosa flights after finishing our food. We each attempted to order different flavors but ultimately ended up with the same flights. We ordered traditional orange, peach, pineapple, mango, and cranberry. They were our of passionfruit but I can only imagine how that one tasted, if the others were freshly squeezed. Yum!
A lot of thought went into the planning of this restaurant and it shows. Although we were there for a brunch, I loved the family atmosphere the restaurant gave, so yes, it is kid and infant friendly. We sat near the cutest baby!
We will definitely be back for a visit, soon!

I ate breakfast at the Famous Toastery in Ballantyne on January 14th. I had the avocado omelet that has tomato, chopped bacon and parmesan. It was so delicious. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes that were very flavorful. The service is good and they keep refilling your coffee. This is a great spot for breakfast or brunch.
