A hidden gem in Latta Arcade in Uptown, Felix makes incredible empanadas. The accompanying sauces are not to be missed. The chimichurri is excellent! A stop here is a priority when we're in the area. Your day will be improved after eating here!
Empanadas we’re toooo good !!! They give you the sauce on the side , tbh this is way better than having to touch all on the sauce bottles and let u serve yourself. They also had a cheat sheet where u can see which empanada is which.
Delicious empanadas. Can’t go wrong with any of their selections. I had the pot pie, beef and chicken. Very delicious and flavorful filling and always comes out and fresh. The dough they use is pretty tasty as well. Definitely a must try.
God-like empanadas. Cubana y manzana in the picture. Great sauce choices. I go to Optimist Hall for lots of food but I make it a point to stop here no matter what. I will force myself to get these no matter how full I am. Very fairly priced with good quality.
Love Felix Handmade Empanadas in Charlotte North Carolina. They usually have about eight different selections but this time I got the bacon egg and cheese, the chorizo and the fig and goat cheese. First experience after hearing of Felix’s since they opened their uptown location. The staff at Optimist Hall were impressively friendly and helped me choose my two empanadas for the combo. The side Cobb salad was delicious with a homemade dressing very unique and the size is very generous. I tried
I've tried alot of empanadas from here. Chicken, cheeseburger 🤩, carolina bbq, the date one,bacon egg and cheese and the desert ones. Also pepperoni pizza one! Its always fresh! The cheese is sooo good! A must try with the sauces they provide. The crust is so flaky and tasty.
Do not overlook this place, it was FANTASTIC!!! We got three empanadas: chicken, cheeseburger, and Shepherd’s pie. All three were wonderful, but our favorite was the Shepherd’s pie empanada; SIMPLY AMAZING!!! Next time I am in Charlotte, I will be stopping by again for more!!!
I'm very picky about empanadas, because so many I've tried are too dried out, but these are legit. Super interesting and unique flavors, too. Don't sleep on Felix's!
The EMPANDAS WERE AMAZING! I'm Colombian and I often make fun of other cultures empanadas because they are filled with air and no meat ... But these Empanadas are so authentic and amazing! Deff a must eat and must try.

Just ate here, and food was delicious. Had a great conversation with the dude who runs it. Cool guy and even threw in an extra Shepard’s pie empanada for me to try. Definitely worth it
Absolutely amazing!! Staff is amazing and Optimist Hall is such a great vibe as well. Can be a bit hectic on weekends though. I love going for weekday lunch though since it’s so close to a light rail stop.
UPDATE: After the owner responded and said we experienced a chicken batch that was made incorrectly, my sister went back and tried one again (I live in NY, so I could not go). She said it was DELICIOUS, flavorful, and definitely 5 stars. Thank you Felix for inviting us back to try again!

The employee at the register was polite and patient with my questions. I tried the spanakopita as well as the guava & cheese. The spanakopita was good but I would only order it if I was really craving it. The guava and cheese flavor was yummy and definitely a dessert option. I would order it again.
