This is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Charlotte! I have been here many times with my husband, and we even had our wedding reception here. When we have a guest or want to introduce someone to Indian cuisine, we take them here because they have good, quality food and maintain a great standard. Prices are reasonable, too. The only area in which they are lacking is service. Sometimes they seem to forget to wait on our table, and we have to call them over to take our order or get the bill.
Great food and atmosphere! Very helpful happy people will teach you about the dishes if you're new to Indian food. Awesome dosa buffet on Tuesday evenings. Great desserts! And I gotta say, better than the South Charlotte location.
Had a great experience at Peacock Indian last night for dinner. This was the first we had eaten here and I can say based on the food alone, we will be back! I have tried many different Indian dishes in the past and am generally not picky about food. I had a craving for the ever cliche Chicken Tikka Masala. As the person before me ordered this as well, the waiter kindly asked if we had tried other dishes, because he felt there were better things to be had. Again, I have tried many dishes, so I did know this, but appreciated it nonetheless. He recommended a dish for me and I'm glad I let him!
I had a chicken curry dish loaded with veggies that was great. Not too spicy, but amazing flavor.
We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.
The only suggestion we have for the waitstaff is to greet/seat guests in a timely fashion and make sure you make regular water runs :)
This is a hidden gem. They have some of the best south Indian dishes in Charlotte in my opinion. Even the bus they have more menu items then any other restaurant in the area. Definitely worth checking out.
My favorite is their Goat Curry; really delicious!
Wow that was a great meal, tons of variety and dishes I've never tried on the buffet (I've been eating Indian and Pakistani food since childhood and a few were new to me). They have goat as well, harder to find and delicious.
Awesome food with awesome people service . Tremendous selection at the buffet . Had one of the best buffet experiences ever! Very attentive waitstaff!.... Guys u need to visit this place if u r in town.... Don't miss to taste Indian magic spice... ;) enjoy
Went to the buffet lunch with work colleagues. All the entrees were delicious (I had the Chicken Tika Masala, chicken biryani and the mango mousse) and the service was superb. I always judge an Indian restaurant by the number of Indian people who dine there and by this rather simple metric, this place is a keeper.
Delicious Food and excellent Service. Price worth and enjoyed the DOSA night thoroughly. Seems like they have every tuesday Dosa Buffet and Every wednesday Biryani buffet. I am yet to try Biryani night next time..
I ate dinner last week at this place. Food came on time, it was good ambience and taste was also good. We had biryani and baby corn , they both were perfect taste to us.
I purchased a Groupon for this restaurant. Best decision ever! Food was excellent! We had the Gobi Manchurian, Butter Chicken and Malai Kofta. Large servings, attentive wait staff.....we'll be going there often!
