We ordered the salmon cheesesteak, 12 piece mambo wings, their signature jerk Max pasta, and the Strawberry lemonade . Everything was very tasty ! The wings are the perfect size! I’ve never had a salmon Philly cheesesteak so this was different and we thoroughly enjoyed the taste of it ! The salmon was well seasoned and the bread was soft and toasty. The jerk pasta definitely had a kick! Spicy is a fair way to describe it but it was still very good. The lemonade is super sweet! You could honestly dose it down with some water if you wanted. Overall I would definitely order from them again!

This food was absolutely amazing!!! I love it!! You mean to tell me I can get a salmon cheesesteak, wings fries and a drink in a combo. In addition to that EVERYTHING was seasoned to perfection! My mom ordered the turkey burger, wings, fries and drink and loved it! My new favorite place 🥰

Food is delicious 🤤. Today is my second visit here and both times my food was so good. The strawberry lemonade is something that should not even be allowed. I have no clue what this has in it but it may be the very best drink I have ever tasted! On to my food, I had the seafood crack pasta and omg that is exactly what it is. The flavor to this is just amazing. I will say that there is not a ton of shrimp and crab in it but it was sooooooo good! I had the henney hot wings they were fried perfectly! The flavor of these wings is amazing. They are just spicy enough, sauced just enough and trust me you are going to want more! My family is not from here but we do come to Charlotte occasionally. This place is a must stop and eat at. I almost forgot to mention the lovely two young ladies who waited on me and my daughter today. They were very sweet. Service is wonderful and food is even better!!! Mr. Nappy Chief I think it’s time to open a spot in Myrtle beach!!! Thank you all for the great meal today.

Do yourself a favor and visit this amazing black owned restaurant!! Staff is nice & welcoming! The service is amazing and food is even better ! Food is ALWAYS cook to order and fresh ! I’ve never waited long and I’m always there . Glad it is only a few minutes from home .

Having heard about the Nappy Chef for some time, I decided to slide on them and they exceeded the hype!!! Henny BBQ wings were outstanding and the tacos damn near made me do a u-turn for 1 more order! The Seafood Crack is appropriately named because your mouth instantly craves for more. A MUST VISIT for any local or visitor! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Parking was confusing because the spaces closest to the restaurant say they are reserved for Firestone customers but the only other parking options are right in front of Firestone. However, the food was great! It’s currently (as of the end of October 2022) only takeout but there is outdoor seating available. My food was so hot when I opened the container, I’m sure it had just came out the grease. My shrimp were a little salty but not enough to ruin my meal. The mambo wing sauce tasted like a blend of teriyaki and bbq possibly. The fries were good as well. I will definitely visit again when I’m in the area.

Today was my first time going to The Nappy Chef. The staff were friendly and professional. I ordered the garlic parmesan wings and fries. They both tasted amazing. Since i took my meal to go, my fries only lasted about two lights before i finished them off. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just like i like them. The chicken wings were literally bursting with flavor. They weren't huge but they more than made up for it in taste. My only issue was them not having any jerk mac n cheese available. Although i was disappointed, it gives me an excuse to come back. Check them out and i know you'll love it.

Visited during Charlotte Black Restaurant week and the food was good. Went for lunch and the service was good. They do not allow dine in probably still due to Covid so be prepared to take your food to go. Would consider going back to try their wings.

Stopped by here for a take-out order. There was seating inside, but limited. There were a few tables outside. The food was very good. I had a Wings and Shrimp Basket accompnied with fries and my husband had The Boss Plate which was a Salmon Cheese Steak, Jerk Wings and pasta salad. He also ordered a Lobster and Shrimp Mac and Cheese. Everything was very good. Parking was limited.
