Review Bread & Kabob - Charlotte

Quality has been really degraded in the past months. It seems like they are integrating a lot of menu items and other improvements in this restaurant to increase profit but are not focusing on the quality of the food. Every day food is not consistent. One day it taste really good (if the owner is making it) another day it will be really bad quality, portion size is not appropriate and food taste completely different. This is a good location and have potential. But hey really need to work on the consistency of the food quality. Pay more attention to customers food order.

Great food, friendly people! This is a family owned restaurant, and it includes a great middle-eastern grocery store. My wife and I went here for a date night, and really liked it. The Lamb Shank is really good, the lentil soup is delicious, and the rice is amazing, We'll definitely be back to try more menu items! You get a good value for your money (for about $10 a plate, you leave stuffed), and Fri-Sun kids under 5 eat free (there is a small kids menu including chicken nuggets). The owner said they also have wifi, and they serve breakfast from 6-11am everyday. Might be my new "get work done" spot.

One of the best meals my friend and I have had in a long time. They make the shawarma in house and it was incredible. My food took a while so they upgraded it to a large size. Definitely going to become a regular stop.

Absolutely the WORST place I have ever been too. I have been there twice and both times staff extremely rude and slow. Food tasted terrible: oily, dry, and overcooked. For the take out, I had to wait 30 min!!! -even though I came in first. And people who came in after me to place their orders, got their orders before I did -ugrr, very professional. What made it worse - I called in advance to place take out order, and when I came in, they didn't have a clue about that order… Just as rude on the phone as they were in person. Wow! Unbelievably terrible customer service in USA. Bottom line: will never ever ever forever never recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a pleasant atmosphere. I hope management will take note of this message and pay more attention to their customer service.

I don't have any problem with the food I give the food 5 stars with no doubt. However, the owner was screaming on me because of his mistake. I ordered by the grabhub and mentioned to bring the change for $50, I still keep that receipt with "Delivery Instruction". However, I was been told that is not his mistake and he was rudely told me that I want the "FREE FOOD" just because I refused to give the drive $50 and waiting the driver bring my change back. (This is not the first time that I have ordered from this place but never again!!) He even told me that it was wasting my time to give him a call for make complain to him. WOW, this is really surprised and disgusted me, I never seen any of the restaurant's owner talk to their customer or handle customer's complain. Do you really think there is no competitors near by your restaurant or I don't have another choices?I never write any negative review to any business on the social media because I always love to giving people a chance but base on the owner's attitude from this place, I'm sorry I have to let people know what happened. As I mentioned on the phone today, I don't have any problem with the food that you served they are tasty but your attitude really is the biggest problem for your business.

I ordered for delivery. They told me within 30 minutes. An hour later I called and they answered and hung up. I kept calling and they kept hanging up. I called their other number and they told me my food was already delivered however It was not. Finally an hour and 20 minutes later my food arrives cold. I ordered 2 gyros and a Greek salad. One gyro had everything a gyro normally comes with and the other was plain which should have also been a normal gyro. My Greek salad was 95% iceberg lettuce with some black olives and onions. There was no Greek dressing on it or on the side. The menu said it comes with romaine lettuce and kalamata olives which it clearly didn't. For my first time eating food from this place I was very disappointed. I will never waste 40 dollars eating there again.

I have been to Bread and Kabob multiple times, because I work nearby and they have options that fit my diet. Everyone on staff is friendly except for the manager/owner which is mainly why I have given this place 1 star. One time a friend and I placed an order there, there was no line. The manager was busy talking to a friend and waited 20 minutes before he began making our food. We asked the cashier what was taking so long (this was a takeout order) and she said that the manager "forgets to make people's food sometimes"...another bad experience with him was when I ordered a falafel wrap and he didn't put lettuce on it. I came back and asked for lettuce politely and he got mad at me. First, he said it was my fault because I added banana peppers (which has nothing to do with anything) I replied that it states both lettuce and cucumbers come on the wrap, on the menu..he told me "it doesn't say that" so I pointed to the section of the menu where it says it and he just shook his head and he replied "well lettuce doesn't go good on the wrap and we don't have cucumbers" (I've ordered the wrap several times over the past few months and it never has cucumbers on it) I told him "I'm just a customer who expects what's written on the menu and if you don't like adding lettuce on it then it shouldn't be written on the menu." he continued to be upset and acted like I was asking for such a ridiculous request. One of the cashiers told me that he also doesn't pay them minimum wage, he pays them $2 an hour even though not too many people ever dine in at the restaurant. Also, there's no standard for how things are made, every cook makes things differently and one cook didn't know half the ingredients that were supposed to go into the wrap (he was clueless as to what cilantro was, which is another ingredient that is supposed to go on the falafel wrap, and it's never on there) After my last experience with the manager, I can't bear to continue to give my money to a place where the manager/owner has no respect for their customers.

I have been going there for about a year now, mostly because it is really close to where I live. The food is good, and their prices are fair. They do take some times to make the food but its made to order so you should expect it to be fresh. They have fallen off their game a little during the Ramadan time frame but who wouldn't? If you didn't eat or drink anything from sunrise until sunset and you are working all day I am sure that you would be exhausted as well. Since then I have gone a few times and the food has gone back to its original glory along with being timely. The customer service does need a little work but being that English is a second language i can see that they are doing what they can. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for a good cheap meal.

This place is awesome. Food is delicious. Service was amazing. Everyone in the place was very friendly. I ordered a Meat Shawarma and it was to my table in under 5 minutes and was absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend you give this place a try.

We love the chicken Schwarma wraps. we also like the great selection of candies, cookies and other items in the store. This is a very friendly place and we love coming here.

First meal last night. Delicious! Best tabouli I've ever had. Jordanian owned. Small grocery and cooler section.
