I got their margarita, pizza and pistachio cannoli.
Wow! This place is a diamond in the rough. From the food to the atmosphere was pure authentic Italian pizzeria. When you first walk in you can see them making all from ingredients with their open kitchen dining room layout so you can see them prepare you meal.
The pizza was soft , yet crispy with nice fresh basil that was very pungent and delightful. Their sauce and bread that they make fresh in house are the biggest to factors to why they are a success. They even sell their own olive oil!
Then I got the cannoli, also made fresh in house which was creamy and crunchy. These people take their time with food preparation and it definitely shows when it comes down to flavor.
This is a must try.
The pizza was amazing. However, I am leaving 4 stars for the lack of accommodation that is willing to be offered. We ordered the Bianca, which, if you are familiar with this type of pizza, you’ll know it has no protein. We wanted to add pepperoni to it and I was told there’s no way to make it happen. I said I didn’t want to remove or substitute it or make anything too complicated. I just wanted to add pepperoni and said I would pay whatever I need to in order to make it happen. I got nothing but a blank stare back from the cashier. I understand the desire of the owner to stay true to his own recipes, but I just feel in a customer oriented business you should be accommodating enough to simply add one meat choice to an otherwise protein-free pizza.
Went on Friday night. Bar was wide open. Bartender Sam is kind and hilarious. He recommended the whole menu. I forgot the name of the one I got, but oh my. The dough is so fresh, and the ingredients melt so yummy together. Definitely will go back. Im eating the leftovers right now. Popped the pizza in the oven, and it's as good as yesterday.
I was in Waverly on a Sunday night and had dinner at DeSano's. The restaurant is very big and it is cool to see their wood-burning ovens. We ordered a large Desano, which is a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The nice thing about a Napoletana pizza is that they come out very quickly. We ate the entire pizza, and it was delicious.
Love love love. I just moved to Charlotte from Omaha Nebraska. Decided to venture out and eat lunch alone. The music was on point. Oldies but goodies. I will be back sooner than later. Great for families and lonners such as myself. Next time I'm sitting at the bar. 🍺
It’s Mother’s Day, and for lunch I said no to all other restaurant choices in favor of my favorite wood fired pizza and fresh filled cannoli at DeSano. Always amazing, love the tomato sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Crust has a good chew to it. This Jersey girl is very hard to please when it comes to pizza! It’s not crisp crust like NY/NJ so don’t expect that, but excellent for its wood fired flavor. Gotta have the fresh cannoli with chocolate chips. Jon and team are great at what they do and super attentive!
The NY Pizza was fantastic. I did select a second red wine. GM John made sure we were happy and answered questions about the business. I believe we will have a celebration party in the winter.
Absolutely divine!!! Wood oven pizza cooked to perfection using fresh delicious ingredients. Overall restaurant concept is genius. Highly recommend DeSano if you are looking for quick, good quality pizza joint.
If you're looking for the absolute best pizza in town, this place is an absolute gem! The service and management here are truly exceptional, making it an all-around fantastic experience.
Pizza here was amazing. This is probably one of the best pizzas in town. The service here was not as friendly the day I visited, but they got the pie to me quickly and it tasted great!
