Food was great. Selection of music was awesome First time going there.I will be going back. Portions were more than enough to fill u up.
This was my first time here. I never even heard of it until my mother invited me. OMG...the food was amazing. And the owner was very friendly. A must go!
I wanted some Jamaican food, so I looked up on Google & found this little gem 💎.
And even though there are some mixed reviews on different food, this would be my review from my first experience, & being a Jamaican food connoisseur 😋.
First off when pulling up to this location, it is that first driveway that you think that it’s not ( or your going to miss it and turn around like I did 😕).
Now onto the food..
So I did sample the stewed beef & the curry goat but the entrees that were bought happened to all be OxTails.
Ox tails are a 10 / 10 the white rice was Bomb 💣. I don’t like rice and peas, but the others said it was good. The cabbage seasoned well.
We also had the sweet potatoes they are good, but they’re more of a healthy, sweet potato versus the down south version you might be a custom to. 5/5
Oh Plantains -0/10 ..Horrible but I’m used to a hit or miss with them when it come to Jamaican restaurants.
The red velvet cake was really really good soft & moist; I recommend it.
The carrot cake im told was excellent that has real carrots in it. 🍰 8/10
We got the pink lemonade & the rum punch. Those drinks are 7/10
overall, I am very satisfied with LCR 😋
They are the Best oxtails I’ve had in charlotte so far.
& the Customer Service is Fantastic
Best Jamaican restaurant in Charlotte 100%
I have been to every single Jamaican restaurant here in Charlotte & none come close. This place always gets it right! The oxtail is my favorite and is always Fresh fall off the bone tender. Everything always tastes great bo matter what I order. Staff very very welcoming and nice.
This place was highly rated and wanted to give it a chance and I can see why the rating is so good the food is great. This place has a authentic Jamaican feel I would know because I just came from Jamaica. The portions are great and the they even have authentic Jamaican drinks really recommend.
1st time here. I'm from Brooklyn, NY and I definitely know what authentic Caribbean food taste like. This is authentic. I ordered a large oxtails meal and a red pea soup. Everything was delicious. I shall be back!
I love the food I have gotten a fish soup and when I tell you... It was so good. I don't eat meat and I always find something good to eat. My daughter(12) eats meat and she loves the roti.
When I say my momma DAWG this plate in silence!! The food is absolutely amazing!! The atmosphere and the music was such a good vibe! We will definitely be back when we come back through. Hopefully they will have some beef patties next time.
Depending on your appetite, the curry chicken roti wrap on the handwritten menu is big enough to share.
It's counter service, with refrigerated bottles drinks and a few tables inside.
A very nice surprise. The food was authentic, tasty, and portions generous. I had the curry chicken and it did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and curry flavor evident. I haven't explored Caribbean menus too much, but will have to start now.
*** MUST TRY ***
Massive amount of flavor in every bite. Roti skin is perfect. All the proteins are made with extra love. You get your bang for your buck FOR SURE! Thank you everyone for creating such phenomenal food!!!
This is the best Jamaican spot for food in Charlotte. I know because I have tried them all and added some reviews on here about them. The oxtails are a consistent hit 10/10 and the natural juices particularly the ginger though a bit overpriced is good. Try them you won’t be disappointed
