Review Yummy Crab - Charlotte

This was our first time. Was not sure what to expect. We ordered a #11 at the recommendation of our server Victoria. Victoria was great. She even brought a complementary ice cream dish with a lit candel. We are on a trip to celebrate our anniversary. My wife and I shared the #11 $49. 00. Don't be too proud and put on the gloves and bib. You are going to need them. I have to say I was still hungry after we finished off the bag and an order of hushpuppies. The lobster was cooked a little more than I prefer. The King crab was a little small and took more work to get to what was available to eat. The shrimp were a good size, and the whole meal, which included corn, potatoes and a boiled ege , was very tasty. I would definitely do it again, but change out some of the seafood choices to add to the volume of the meal.

I seen alot of bad reviews but still decided to try it and Im glad I did . The food was great and so was the service.

Some reviews on here are clearly from people with no common sense. It's a very messy seafood experience, but it's absolutely delicious! Party of 4, 3 had half pound crab, half pound shrimp bags and loved it. If you don't like skin on your fried fish, you won't like their fried stuff much. That was 1 in our party. Yes it's a paper table cloth, because that's what you do in a messy seafood place. You would run out of table cloths too fast and where would you even store enough to survive the evening? To go cups and paper baskets as your hands are very slipper with buttery old bay tastiness. They give you little gloves to try and keep your hands clean. Gloves or no gloves, you will probably be dropping cups and glasses, so that's money down the drain from damages. It's a place that does what makes sense and serves up good food. Has great service and a good atmosphere!

The food wasn't bad. The crawfish was a miss. Must have been frozen crawfish given season. The meat tasted bland. The food was good enough. The crab legs may have been my favorite. The staff was nice and the service was unplanned as I ordered to go but decided to eat in. So service became on an asking basis. All went well though. I did not care for the lack of soap in the bathroom and hand sanitizer outside the bathroom door. When eating food, I want to use soap and water. Oh and if you like real spice, get the hottest options.

I come almost every other week Nice environment , great service, great employees, & awesome food . Never disappoints. I would say there is one employee I never get a chance to ask for her name but she greets me with a smile each time i come in as if she’s known me since forever . Highly Recommend

They are located in Charlotte, NC AND DONT HAVE SWEET TEA????? WASSUP with that??? Also need to change how customers pay. Place order at front desk, give the customer a table number and have food runners bring food to the table. That way, everyone pays upfront before being served. If additional orders are placed after being seated, servers ring up first, immediately take ticket to the table to collect payment, then customer receives food.

It's a little pricey for the portions but the flavors are delicious. I added some asparagus to my dish just to be a little healthier and it was on point

Food was absolutely 💯 great!! I order the 1/2 crab legs and shrimp. Seasoned to the best!!! . They are practicing social distance currently. More people than I would have liked but the service and food was amazing. I'm going back!!! You should go.

I gave it 4 stars because the actual restaurant was not that appealing, but the food was good and the service was fast and great!!

The food here is amazing! This was our second time here, and it did not disappoint! We had the number one - 1/2 lb. of shrimp and 1/2 lb. of crab. my husband had the Cajun mixed mild seasoning and I had the old bay seasoning and garlic butter no spice. We had sweet potato fries and shrimp fried rice! It was all delicious! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive!

Food was amazing drinks were on point. Staff was awesome me and my husband enjoyed ourselves so much we went back the next day with family.

Our waiter was from Indonesia and he was the best! Super attentive and sweet. The food was also wonderful. Would come again

Update 5/28/22 Gave yummy crab another try and they've really turned things around. 5 stars. The service was on point. The waitress knew what she was doing gave us suggestions an offered help going through the menu items. Checked up on us at least 5 times during dinner. Food was good we all got #1 all sauce mix. Very savory and buttery. We made a mess but it was delicious. ----- Been meaning to try this place for a while. Service was very poor here. Our waiter was supposedly new to his job and it was obvious he barely got trained. He didn't knownthr menu at all. Each of us had to repeat our order to him more than one time even though we waited for him to write all the orders down each time. I asked him to read the order back to us just to make sure he took the order down correctly. He did. After he took our order sent it in, he came back about 5 minutes later to verify the order again! The waiter came back later to ask us individually if we needed more water... it was obvious we all needed more water, there was no need to ask us individually. Just refill the waters. We got our order, the food was pretty average. My friends got the fried baskets and i got a mix of shrimp and clam in garlic butter and some wings. The fries were apparently good but the fried shrimp and fish wasnt all that great. My garlic butter was decent. The wings were good. Food was a but pricing for what it is. I may give them another try but this first experience was not great.

Restaurant is a total vibe and my server Victoria was friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the lunch special and the food was delicious! I’ll definitely be back.
