I try to get lunch at Showmars whenever I’m back in Charlotte. Their gyro is one of the best and I almost always order the Calabash Shrimp dinner. The shrimp are lightly breaded, not overcooked. There are a lot of places that claim they do shrimp Calabash style and they deliver the overly btreaded, over cooked lump of shrimp flavored bread. Not a Showmars. Only other place that does it this well is O’Steens in St. Augustine Florida.

This restaurant, located in the food court of SouthPark mall, is just as good as any standalone Showmars could be. Good variety. Reasonable prices. Service is always friendly, helpful, and prompt. Condiments, straws, etc. are conveniently placed. Everything is usually clean. Nothing negative comes to mind here.

UPDATE: Management reached out to discuss my experience-an initiative which impressed me and made me feel as though my feelings matter. The employees worked very hard to make it up to me since I was a regular customer. Because of their efforts, I was convinced they were sincere in their goal of being a great place to eat. I received my food exactly as requested and quickly. The employees were apologetic and super sweet! THANK YOU for your OUTSTANDING customer service and GREAT FOOD FOR THE MONEY! (Here is my now-FORMER review: Customer service is poor. Asked for ketchup with my order of fries-received two packets. Asked for soda with no ice. Cup was three-quarters filled with ice. Only reason I'm giving two stars is because the chicken tenders are cooked well. Otherwise, over-priced and not worth the aggravation.)

This Showmars is the best! The staff there is so kind. In comparison to the rest of the mall food court options/customer service, they are in a league of their own. My co-workers and I order from there frequently and you can tell they are working so hard, they have the togo system down, and our food is always fresh and hot! Also they have the best honey mustard, hands down.

out-Burgers 5guys in their own backyard! The previously named chain will not allow you to even order a REAL CHEESE cheese burgers all they offer is "American"...insult to the name cheese, which is not cheese but oil water and yellow number5. But as well the burger and bun and well everything else is far superior at Showmars where you cane get yes wait for it CHEDDAR CHEESE cheese burger!! Yes better everything. I choked down the nasty 5 guys American version and the next day completely removed the stench from my trullet with a nice juicy double chebureger chebureger chebureger "Baluchi" version from Showmars. What does the name mean ? How the hell do I know I'm from California,"25years Charlotte Native" but who cares Showmars "ROCKS!!!
