Review Cluck 'n Cup - Charlotte

Their pot pies are home-made without me having to do all the work! With flaky crust and creamy filling, every time I go here it's a treat. It is only a plus that the owner is a genuine conversationalist with an endless supply of life stories. Click N Cup is a fantastic family owned business that I'm proud to support.

This is a sweet little place to hang out. Great outdoor seating with an awesome coffee or tea. Both were very well prepared. The chicken pot pie is amazingly delicious for less than $7. Very cozy laid back ambiance with friendly staff.

If you aren't here on Wednesdays....what are you doing with your food choices? It would be a fair assessment to say that this is the best chicken pot pie you will find in Charlotte. (yes your grandma's pot pie is good, but this is probably better) The broccolli casserole is fantastic as well.

This is really a hidden gem in Charlotte. It's delicious, reasonable. And even though it tastes authentically homemade, it's consistently great. Served with a giant fork on quaint farm-themed dishes straight out of what I imagine a Midwestern potluck would look like.

They recently changed managers and I have to say the new one they hired is fantastic. She has to be in her upper 20's dresses professionally and on the occasions I've dealt with her has been really friendly which is always refreshing for management. Great place, always runs smoothly.

I was hungry today and decided to start an argument with my vegan girlfriend about how she would never be able to understand how damn delicious the pot pies are. I told her that she needed to step up and put some "Cluck" in her "Cup"!!

Awesome!!!! I have eaten here several times and have enjoyed it all! The chicken pot pie is our of this world!!!

Every time I go in there they are always out of something. I ordered a chicken casear salad the chicken was nasty and no flavor. The dressing sank all the way to the bottom. And it was mostly cheese and croutons. Plus the lady at the register was borderline rude and act like she didn't want to be there.

The chicken pot pie is the best of my entire life. Great value if you get the special of the day. It got quite crowded at lunch but I enjoyed everything about this meal. Friendly service as well.

Quite simple -- best Pot Pies and Chicken Salad on the East Coast....maybe in the United State!

Best chicken pot pie in Charlotte! Scalding hot so be sure to let it cool - you definitely won't regret your meal choice!

Owner has never tried to rectify my 1st time bad experience. How can anyone do business when they serve rotten food and doesn't have the common decency to try and rectify the bad experience I received. Instead he wants to belittle the customer! You're a joke and I will continue to voice MY OPINION on what I have experienced from your restaurant! It such a shame you had to be so DISRESPECTFUL, IRRESPONSIBLE, IGNORANT, WHO DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF FOOD HE IS SERVING TO HIS CUSTOMERS!

Great lunch spot during the week. Fast and friendly service, and great lunch specials. My fiancé and I enjoy meeting together for lunch here.

Highly recommend. Great food! The chicken pot pie was wonderful; the turkey, brie and apple and the lasagna was great. Service was friendly and quick. The decor is relaxing and the place was very clean. We have found a new lunch place!!!

They have some cheap daily lunch specials that come with a drink. I've tried the chicken pot pie which was great and their coffee was pretty tasty as well. Got broccoli casserole as my side and it was delicious. Oh and on Saturdays you can get a breakfast sandwich and a coffee for $3.99.

Good lunch. Got the chicken pot pie. Very good, and if you get it on Wednesday (its the Wednesday lunch special), its pretty cheap.I got a side of fresh fruit, which was the tiniest side of fruit I've ever seen - it was served in one of those plastic ramekins that takeout places give you your salad dressing in. I was kind of dissapointed in that. Also, the "sweet" tea was not...at all. Overall, the food was good, but the fruit thimble could use some help, and the Tea needs more sugar - not asking for syrup....just enough sugar to taste it. Props on the pot pie though. It was good. Also a mystery to me was that all of the other customers got their drinks in a glass, and mine came in a take-out cup. I was sitting at a table, so I know there was no cunfusion as to whether I was carrying it out. Oh well. I would come back, but would probably order a different side and water.

Went for lunch today after reading the Urbanspoon reviews. How have I not known about this place? Friendly, great food, clean and inviting. Can't wait to go back.

Best Chicken Pot Pie!. I am a pretty serious foodie and pride myself in knowing what a good plate of food really is, no matter the cuisine. The chicken pot pie at cluck n cup is excellent. You can tell they are using fresh white meat chicken breast and could even taste some of the crispy skin left on the breast. Great vegatables in there as well. I loved the corn, lima beans and potatoes. Great crust too, not too hard yet very flaky. It was a perfect balance of everything. I got it with a side of broccili casserole as well. It was very good and not something I typically enjoy. Had a great cup of coffee there too! A great place, wish I would have started coming here sooner!

Good Deal. I see that this post has a Southend address but I go to the Uptown location. Anyway, it's all good. The prices are very reasonable and the food quality exceeds the price based on what I've had at other uptown restaurants. The pot pie is quite good along with everything else I've had. Nice little restaurant row in the Government District!

Chicken pot pie = 2 thumbs up, 'nuff said!

Long time fan! In my last few visits it seems as though the consistency has slipped (broccoli casserole). Great service, atmosphere, and staff.

This place is the jam. Great coffee (and I don't screw around about my coffee) and good specials. The owner/managers are nice peeps and if they have the time, seem to enjoy talking with customers.

Fabulous!. The chicken pot pie is to die for, but, I am also in love with the pimento cheese sandwich! Comfort food at its best- and the perfect cup of coffee! Love the food, the atmosphere, and the service is great. I eat there every chance I get!
Keep up the good work, head hen, and please open more locations!
Kathy
Yummy!!!. I just ate the chicken pot pie and must say that it was yummmmmy!!!! They had fresh ones made for take and bake. I am sure I will be stopping in for those too.

My Favorite Lunch Spot. I eat there 3-4 times a week. Everything I've eaten there is great. My favorites to name a few: chicken pot pie, quesedillas, chicken salad wrap, chicken chile, and brocoli caserol. You can't help but become friends with the people running it. Great folks. I live nearby so stumbled on it when they first opened. Now if I go two days without it I get a craving. Trust me. Try it and you'll be a regular.

Relaxing and Great Food!!!. Cluck n Cup is a great place to grab a quick lunch or that much needed cup of coffee or in my case a double espresso snicker-doodle soy latte to get me through the day... YUMMY!!! Cluck is NOT your average coffee shop. They are friendly and greet you by name and did I mention the food...FABULOUS! I eat there almost every day and have tried most things on the menu. Everything there is to die for from the Chicken pot pie and BLT to the amazing house salad.. Cluck definitely has a customer and friend for life!!!
Pam Hefferon
Great food. Everything is good and at a reasonable price. The take home chicken pot pies are the best I've ever eaten. They freeze well and taste just as fresh when thawed. The chicken salad is excellent. Pam

Yummy. This is one of my favorite places of all. I go for Shrimp Tacos every Friday, The pot pies are terrific too. The daily specials are helpful in this economy and the folks who own it are very nice.
To be able to get lunch including a drink and a side for $6.00 in hard to beat, much better than fast food. Try the Chicken salad, it is the best in town.

The best go to place for breakfast or lunch. The food is the best! The customer service is beyond compare. Lynn and her staff have made me feel so welcome and thier lunch specials are better than you can get anywhere! My fav is thier house salad with ranch and the raspberry dressing! A must for anyone!

Eat There. The atmosphere is very laid back, perfect for an afternoon lunch. Their food is innovative and their chicken pot pie is just plain old yummy just like Grandma's! They serve the best coffee on that side of town perfect to eat with Frittatas for breakfast. I highly recommend it.
GodfatherOf Lunch
Listen to the Godfather. When it comes to coffee I don't play. Morning caffeine delivery is serious business. The finest cup of coffee in Charlotte is available at a hidden gem of a place called Cluck N Cup. The address is 2135 Southend Drive, at corner of Southend Drive and Magnolia Ave, less than a block off South Blvd. They get their beans from an exceptional roaster; I believe only two establishments in Charlotte use this roaster. It is just the best cup of coffee available period. I ranted and raved about the coffee that they broke down and named my favorite blend after me. So stop in and check out the Godfather Blend if you want a robust cup of caffeinated Nirvana. They are also serving some nice breakfast and lunch items that are just a bit different from the rest of the pack. Go for a Frittata or a chicken pot pie. It will get your feathers ruffled. Oh and yes you can get some beans whole or ground.

U gotta try it. The house salad is a real treet. Maybe a contest to name it. I vote for the "Rex Salad", of course it could be named for you. Great food, Great location, great people.
The Fake Foodie
I recently checked out Cluck ‘N Cup in the SouthEnd area with my little brother and my dad and thought it was amazing!!!

Cluck 'N Cup is a cute breakfast and lunch spot where I enjoyed a delightful lunch several weeks ago. I dined at the Southend location just off South Blvd. but there are locations uptown and in north Charlotte as well. The chicken pot pie is very good - I look forward to having this again over the winter. I also sampled the broccoli casserole - also very tasty. Cluck 'N Cup serves a full breakfast menu including breakfast sandwiches (toast, croissants and bagels available), yogurt, oatmeal, muffins and frittatas. A full coffee selection including espresso drinks is also available - yay for serving my favorite, the mocha. Lunch brings several salads, wraps, sandwiches and entrees like the pot pie, lasagna and quesadillas. Lots of chicken is on the menu - hence the "cluck". Every day there is a lunch special including a drink for around $5 - $6 - a nice deal - on Wednesday you can get the pot pie, a side and a drink for $5.99. Also, you can purchase pot pie, broccoli casserole and more t
