Yama Izakaya - Charlotte - Photo album

I'm surprised this place wasn't busy. The atmosphere and decor was upscale and chic. Service was good. The best was the food. Sushi had perfect ratio of rice to fish/filling and was super fresh. The ramen was superb. Noodles perfectly cooked with Rich pork Bone broth. The dinnerware was upsca
We had the fried octopus balls as an appetizer. They were very tasty but didn't have a lot of octopus in them. I had the Miso Ramen which was delicious and my friend head the kiss of fire sushi roll. The place is clean and the service was good. I've been a few times and it has yet to disappoint. It'
We very much enjoy eating here and do frequently. The ramen is great! (Shrimp dumplings are a great side for the ramen!!)It is a nice environment and the staff is attentive and friendly!
I really enjoyed the food and the customer service that our server provided. However, I feel that the hostess needs to work on her attitude just a tad. Everything else was awesome! Ramen was so delicious
Great atmosphere, good food, & quick service. If you’re in the mood for some good authentic ramen without all the crowds this is an awesome choice.
Loved the food. It came on time. Except ramen everything was superb. We landed up ordering lamb and buns appertizer again. Ambience was little dark for my taste. Overall good experience.
すごいですね! うまい。Ramen came out crazy fast and the flavors are out of this world. Pure umami. $5 hot sake on Wednesdays. The service was sublime and the atmosphere cool as hell. #1 authentic Japanese in Charlotte.
I loved everything about this restaurant! The atmosphere was nice, the music was good, the staff was superb and made great recommendations, the drink I ordered was fantastic, and the food was incredibly delicious.
Went there today for the first time. I'll have to say, I will definitely come back. The service is the best I have had in a long while. Always checking on us if everything was good and if we needed anything. Food was par, atmosphere was par, service was par.
My lady and I enjoy eating here every time we come. Never a bad experience. Food is always excellent.
I only had sushi but it was delicious and affordable for what we ordered. It was not that busy for a Friday night, but the sushi took a little while. The rolls seemed rushed and a little sloppy. All in all I would eat there again. Good service and chill atmosphere.
Atmosphere was great - food was delicious. I ordered the miso ramen and my friend ordered the tonkatsu which he thoroughly enjoyed. We also decided to try their spicy squid legs - not over spiced which was nice.
Great and friendly staff. The food was good. The women's mathroom, was a bit dark, which I tought was strange. Its a cute little establishment.
Tasty ramen and very shareable small plates at an izakaya-style setup. Usually end up getting some sake bottles and a pitcher of Sapporo. They've always supported large groups really well (we've had 18+ here before), and they've gotten better about splitting the bill. Green tea mochi ice cream is a
I had the Pork Broth Ramen with extra Eggs, and Red Bean and Matcha Mochi. That was the best damn ramen bowl I've ever had (they are not stingy with the delicious fatty pork slices!), and the Mochi is not only huge but they serve it sliced with whipcream. Yama's also has a beautiful dim bar aesthet
Good ramen in a nice atmosphere. The service was good, and their ramen is consistent.
The food here is prepared with much care. Amazing taste combined with good service makes this a great place to go for a fine meal.
