Fried flounder plate was amazing 😍 y'all I went back today and ordered fried lobster tails. I also ordered my usual fried flounder. I am even more impressed! It's funny how I want this restaurant to succeed but want to keep it as my own jewel. With that being said I love this place! The food is seasoned extremely well. Thanks to the young men in the back frying up that goodness!!!!!!
Just had lunch from the new Dalton Avenue restaurant. Super nice restaurant. Nice staff. Delicious food- chicken tenders, fried flounder, fried okra, mac&cheese, potato salad. Very convenient to our favorite brewery, Petty Thieves. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food. Always fresh and received in a timely manner.
I buy the catfish dinner with Mac and cheese and yams.

The best fried chicken in Charlotte, and perhaps the best in the country. The chicken is so delicious. It is crispy, and the taste really seeps down to the meat. The taste is excellent. The portion of the chicken is also large.
The sides are also excellent, especially the hush puppy.
The place have no eat in option, but you can eat safely in your car. They will give you a buzzer so you can wait on your car and come back to take your food.
Service is really friendly and excellent. Parking space is not too many, but enough.

I’m so sad to see this place is closed. They by far have some of the best fried & soul food in NC/SC hands down… I just drove here from ATL today just to find out they aren’t open anymore! So sad… The mac & cheese was out of this world.
I am very particular about my food. I ordered the croaker fish dinner. That fish was fried to perfection with the perfect crunch. It is cooked to order,I had to sample while I was in the parking lot. I was ready to drive back the next day,but I had work. The only reason for the 4 stars was the potatoe salad, it was a too tart for me. If you like your salad less sweet then it maybe perfect for you. The customer service is great also. Don't hesitate give this place a try. Do yourself a favor and call your order on because the parking lot is tight.
Personnel: friendly and nice. Quick in taking my order. Quick in making the food.
Food quality: fresh. Well prepared. I had catfish, shrimp, cole slaw, hushpuppies.
Location: very convenient.
Only downside is that they don't have dine-in option. But they are expanding and will have it soon.
I went to Statesville location small but take-out very clean. Am from NYC short trip my first time there, can't wait to go back.

Absolutely amazing. For all my vegetarians out there, the veggie burger is an amazing option and I was honestly surprised by the quality. Veggie burgers get a bad rep for being soggy, but the one here is perfectly cohesive and crunchy. OH MY GOD DUDE, THE MAC N CHEESE WAS ALSO GREAT AS WELL. Definitely worth it and I will be coming back for seconds!!!
Best place hands down. If you looking for a good home cooked meal or feeling for some fried chicken that tastes like someone’s mammy was in there cooking chicken from scratch and I mean flouring it in the paper bag good. You better come here don’t even get me started on that macaroni NOT no Mac and cheese this is MACARONI baby and it will make you slap yo momma. You ain hear it from me go get you a plate!
