Perfect hidden gem. Food is delicious. If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine, this is the place for you.
Edit: 2 years later and the food is still top tier. Ingredients are super fresh and cooked perfectly. The staff are always really welcoming and friendly. The decor is definitely dated but the food is what we go for.
Ours was just what we ordered (and hoped for)! We ordered your basic chicken Tikka masala, vegetable samosas and naan.
The portions were large. The sauce had a little heat, but not too much. The naan was fresh and sizable. The veggie samosas were delicious, especially being that dipping sauce! I was concerned about the price compared to other local places, but the portions were solid; no complaints here.
UPDATE: Just ordered the same stuff as last time, but added Chicken Biryani. DELICIOUS. Spicy. Aromatic. Loved it.
Wonderful Indian Cuisine. The staff are friendly and helpful. I eat here once a week and they consistently provide delicious food. I always eat the buffet. Why? Because it's delicious and always (usually) hot and fresh. This place has a special spot right next to my heart.
Having heard/read good reviews about this place and also one of the few restaurants that were open at 2.30pm, we decided to give it a try.
Walked into an almost empty restaurant. Pretty colourful inside. Ordered vegetable pakora, paneer makhani and chilli naan.
The prices are pretty reasonable and portions are according to the price so don't expect a lot of food.
Pakora had 6-7 small pieces and tasted decent.
The paneer curry was good, they seem to use in-house herb paneer. The mild paneer curry went very well with the chilli naan. The rice was a little clumpy and cold but otherwise a decent place for indian food!
Hidden Gem off South Boulevard for great Indian food. Large menu with lots to choose from. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. We had the vegetarian meal for two; several curries, nan, and appetizers. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. We will definitely be back!
Pro Tip: Stop by the Food Lion next door and pick up some cold beer before you go in. No liquor license here, but the owner welcomes you to bring your own.
Excellent Indian food. My wife and I shared samosas, I got the chicken Tikka masala and my wife got the butter chicken we shared Nan bread. It was our first time here but we'll be back next time we are in Charlotte.
The owner of this establishment is someone I would LOVE to invite into my home and get to know. He is the kindest man I have ever met, and he frequently offers coupons to his guests for calling in vs ordering via Doordash. As well as the exceptional customer service, it is the best Indian food in Charlotte! Support local during COVID-19 and help take care of this gem in our community!!!!
Amazing Food! A Hidden Gem! One of the best Indian restaurants in Charlotte. Very clean (a bit dated decor) and a very friendly staff. They have been around since 1999 for good reason.
I love this restaurant! Their chicken bona with naan is so delicious. Chicken biryani is amazing. Owner is really friendly. This is my third time coming here and I'll be coming here more :)
This is the current lunch ‘buffet’. They bring you an amazing thali fresh made from the kitchen. We had one veg and one non-veg and could not finish either of them. The naan was fresh, warm and buttery. The curries had amazing depth and flavor. The owner was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend stopping by!
