Review Caswell Station - Charlotte

Emily
Stopped in for lunch with a friend and had a typical bar food meal. We ordered fried pickles that were delicious, a chicken flatbread with the chicken being very dry, leaving a lot to be desired, and the fried tomato BLT, which my friend said was very good! The service is the most redeeming quality. Even on a packed Saturday, our server was incredible and made sure to check in us constantly. She was also so sweet. The atmosphere was lacking a little by how many children were running around and screaming, but the amount of outside seating was wonderful. Overall, it was a not terribly exciting meal, but perfect for the casual Saturday.

Pretty cool little neighborhood spot. Good food, & service. Food was quick. It was a quiet evening. The automatic 20% gratuity was an odd surprise. Not sure if it was posted anywhere or not.

We had a super FUN brunch experience at Caswell Station this past weekend. Our waitress- Chelsey was great and recommended some really good menu items. We loved the sliders ( we got a mix of the Buffalo Chicken, Conchinta Pibil and Pork Belly)-they were absolutely delicious. We also had the sauteed brussels sprouts- they were AMAZING! We didn't particularly like the fried green tomatoes- they lacked seasoning-but did taste very fresh. The mimosa carafe was also refreshing and we actually had the bartender add a pinch of grenadine for added sweetness. There was live music by Jacob Blazer- he kept the crowd engaged and did mostly covers of current music; he definitely made the brunch memorable- we loved him! We will definitely be back soon!

Nice place to hangout, grab a few drinks. Huge space, quick service and a lot of outdoor space. Dint try any food, drinks were good.

It was my first time trying this restaurant out after reading about their amazing patio experience. I would say it would of been even better if the outside bar was open but it was still a really awesome atmosphere. The fans were on point. Also on Friday’s they have $6 drinks. Cocktail were amazing especially there seasonal Mule - which was pineapple. The Tatchos are a staple. The fried pickles were excellent and I loved that you could get your wings chargrilled! The fish of the day Taco which happened to be grouper was phenomenal. I definitely will be returning to try more items on the menu! I’ve been back a few times now, never disappoints! 3/31/23 - the food was great as always unfortunately our waiter was unfriendly and not attentive.

Five gold stars. Our first time here. Convenient location and eclectic menu with great service. We ate on the patio and for a busy intersection it was no big deal. It was hard to decide on what to order. The cheese steak egg rolls were served quick and hot. Excellent choice. The bowl of chili and steak nachos were loaded with flavor. Will definitely be back. Our server, Mackensie was awesome!

Dom was fantastic. Food surpassed my expectations. Great experience all around. Great job guys. This will be a regular stop when I am in Charlotte. **please note 20% gratuity is added to check ** Dom certainly deserved 20% (or more).

We had a fun Friday night here. Live music outside with the best "Sai Collins" There is plenty of outdoor seating and it's a central location. Parking is limited, so Uber, if you can, or park in a close lot and walk over. The food was great. We ordered tacos and fried green tomatoes. They had drinks for $6, Inc. titos vodka and fireball. I love live music. Sai is playing again in July, check him out.

I think this is primarily a neighborhood hangout with a sports bar vibe. The menu was interesting and varied so everyone is sure to find something they would like. We got the fried green tomatoes appetizer which was tasty but super oily. (Adding a slice or two of bread to the basket to absorb the excess oil would go a long way.) For our mains we got three tacos (1 pork belly, 1 el pastor, and 1 shrimp) and a Hawaiian burger. Everything was cooked perfectly, including the side of tater tots which had fantastic crispy-crunchy outside and were not greasy or oily at all. We tried several cocktails but they were all very syrupy tasting and not that enjoyable. I do feel it's important to point out their drink menu also claims ingredients they do not even have (specifically Luxardo cherries which the Elizabeth Old Fashioned claims to come with). When we ordered an old fashioned and it came out with a maraschino cherry, we asked our server and she said that was the only kind of cherries they have had for a long time. (And the orange was most definitely not "charred" either.) So who knows what other things were missing or substituted in the drinks vs what the menu claims. All in all we left feeling it was "fine" but not a spot we would necessarily plan on returning to.

My Mom and I were staying in Elizabeth for a visit. We went to dinner here and music bingo. Our food was awesome and we truly enjoyed our meals. Music bingo was really fun! Great servers, great environment. Nice neighborhood restaurant!

The food was delicious! Our waitress was awesome! Stephanie was so attentive and seemed to always know when we were ready for a refill without us asking. The atmosphere was nice inside and outside. Nice to know this is a good place to hang out with your dog.

The food was amazing, was able to stay on track with my options of sides that they had. I chose a side salad, Mac and cheese, and a cup of chili. The food was great for a late afternoon snack. As far as service, baby girl was trying to run the floor. They did add gratitudity...which was strang for 3 at lunch.

I’ve been to Caswell at least 3 times in the last couple months for brunch. They never disappoint. They are priced super fairly and that’s why I enjoy going there. You can get full and not spend a lot. I especially love the mimosas. I mean what’s brunch without it?! Their grits are amazing. I get grits everywhere I go and these are great. I’ve been trying to replicate them actually.

A mix of young college youth and middle to "older than want to admit" people! The atmosphere is excellent, very friendly staff and they work very hard so be sure to tip them accordingly! Very pet friendly and everyone who was there took the time to let all the dogs there and allowed them their space. I had the Tatchos and I highly recommend them!!!! Will definitely be returning as much as possible!

Oh how I love this patio! So excited about this new gem in the neighborhood. Our server Amanda was fabulous. There were about ten of us and we never needed a thing and she had no problem separating our checks. The interior looks awesome with three big tv's over the bar, but there is booth seating where you can be away from the tv's also. I can't wait to enjoy the patio in the summertime. They have new high top tables, an outside bar and tv's at every angle! This is going to be a great addition to the neighborhood!

Cool house and neighborhood. Renovated inside, huge patio with delicious menu. I️ Love the spinach dip, and the fish tacos have a kick big upgrade from your typical bar food. Def a spot I️ will bring friends when they visit Charlotte.

Awesome food! In total we ordered the dip trio, cheesesteak egg rolls, Hawaiian burger, fajita salad and mojito. Everything was delicious, but we would most recommend the dip trio. The pimento cheese and buffalo chicken dip were delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

First night of restaurant week and no better place to try out than Caswell Station in Elizabeth. Great neighborhood feel and atmosphere, friendly and personable staff and management, drinks always go down smoothe, and can't say enough about the food. Try and find something you don't like there. If you do, I'll buy your meal... The people that visit the first time come back, unless they were like this d-bag tonight who acted like a whiny b!#*h, knowing the place was packed, kitchen was swamped, and the servers and bar was catering to please as usual, yet he complains that the food took longer than his expectation. Management makes it right either way and comps the entire table of 3. Dude was a joke and if I only knew his name, I would share so someone he knows can tell him he would be a better fit on Montford. Bye Felicia...

We had brunch with santa at Caswells. The brunch menu had a nice variety of offerings at reasonable price points and the children's menu was superb. The food was great. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Thank you for offering this family friendly event.

Excellent service, drinks, and menu choices! Tonight I really enjoyed the surf and turf fajitas but can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu. The new owners have really made great changes to keep up with the Charlotte demographic! I see Caswell Station being a staple in the Charlotte bar and restaurant community for years to come!

Food and service are great. I had the shrimp and grits from the brunch menu with a bloody mary, both were awesome. Wife and son had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed the quality of ingredients. We will be back!

My husband and I and our two young children came here Sunday. We were excited to check this place out. We pulled in the parking lot and two of the employees are standing outside the back door on the ledge making out. No big deal, really. We go in. Greeted very nicely. Taken to our table. Waitress came and took our drink orders. Comes back 5 min later with all the drinks minus one water. Said she was sorry and left to go get the water. 13 min later I flagged someone else down having to ask where our waitress was. Someone else ended up waiting on us bc our original waitress was busy. The owner came up to apologize and asked my husband if he wanted a beer on the house. He said yes. We ended up being charged for that beer. We did a lot of sitting and waiting. Food was decent. I know it’s just now opening but so many simple things could’ve been said/followed through on to make our experience better. Very disappointed.

Went during the soft opening and love it so far! Food is very tasty and service was great! The atmosphere is wonderful and I can't wait for warm weather to get here so we can eat and play games on the patio. This is exactly what the neighborhood needed!

Took the kids for Brunch with Santa and had a great time! Staff was very pleasant and the food was delicious! I recommend the Bacon avacado sandwich. Kids also had fun in the outdoor game area.
