Five Guys

Was in the Central Avenue area the other day and it was later in the afternoon when I realized that I hadn't eaten lunch yet. When I saw the 5 Guys sign in the little shopping center. I decided to pull in and have something to eat. One of the better choices that I've made lately. Everything was handicap accessible and there was plenty of parking space available. There were plenty of tables outside with umbrellas for shade. And the majority of the tables were already shaded from the sun because of the large overhang of the building. The inside of both the restaurant and the restrooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Whenever it was my turn to order, I chose a double-burger with cheese, some fries and a small drink. When I had finished my order, she asked me what kind of toppings I wanted on my burger. Initially, I had overlooked the toppings that were available for my burger. The staff member directed my attention to the bottom of the board and told me that all of the toppings were free of charge. This alone impressed me to no end, as there was quite a large selection to choose from. I chose lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, pickles, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms as well. Besides the toppings that I've mentioned, there were at least 8 to 10 more toppings available at no additional cost whatsoever. Don't forget the peanuts while you are waiting for your order. They are also free of charge and located next to the huge bags of potatoes; which are just waiting to be turned into some of their fantastic french fries The burger and toppings did not disappoint. They weren't stingy with any of their ingredients. The fries were nicely done with a crispness to them. They overflowed the serving cone that they were in and littered the bottom of the bag. The whole meal was extremely tasty and well cooked. I was very impressed with the whole operation and would strongly recommend this restaurant to any burger aficionados out there. Now normally I would have a problem with a place to did not cook their french fries from frozen, except in this case they apparently take them straight from the potato instead of the freezer so we'll give them a pass because it turns out they're very yummy that way. Good burgers that remind me of a barbecue party, and every topping I can think of. Not cheap, not expensive. Got to give it at least one try, and have some fries.

Best fast food burger I've had. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with all toppings (grilled mushrooms/onions were amazing,) and it turned out excellent. I ordered a small fry to try them out, but wasn't a fan. The seasoning on them were good, but they serve thick cut style and I prefer thin and crispy. Food was quick and the staff was very friendly.

We called an order in and when we arrived about 10 minutes later it wasn’t ready. One of our items didn’t get put on the grill. As soon as we arrived the manager apologized, as the food should have been ready in that amount of time, and offered me a free milkshake. I really appreciated that she got to me before I even started questioning why it wasn’t ready. I order every so often and the employees are always friendly.
