There's not a lot going on Friday night in Charlotte. But we had great sushi. Tons of variety. Love the dynamite roll! Calamari was tasty, topped with onions & peppers which added another layer of flavor. Also had the Katsu sandwich which was such a delight. And who doesn't love udon noodles. This whole experience was just yum! And to top it off the staff was so attentive. Manager checked in with us. Waiter, Green, was so nice and helpful. Took time to explain the menu and make suggestions.

Grabbed lunch here and ordered several things from the menu. The food was delicious. Very flavorful, well presented and cooked to perfection. The service was awesome. Ate during busy lunch period and food was served prompt. Staff were polite and friendly, and prices reasonable. No immediate parking available but plenty of seating indoor only.

Had lunch with three people. Luckily we arrived before noon as the place filled up fast. We all had sushi and it was pretty good. I would rate 3.5 stars if that was an option. The sushi had a lot of rice but still did the trick.

Great value and tasty food! The 2 bucks draft beers are also a plus. I liked the quiet and chilled atmosphere, you actually can have a chat without screaming on the top of your lungs.

Out of all of the Asian restaurants in Charlotte, this is my favorite! The ambiance is chic, the food is amazing, and the price won't break the bank. The calamari is the best I've ever had. I had the basil chicken as an entree.......FANTASTIC! To top it off, I had the molten lava cake which was another winner! Will most definitely be back soon.

This was our first time at Emzy and we definitely will return. The atmosphere is a little loud because of the small size but the food makes up for this. I had the eel roll and volcano roll and both were excellent. My wife had the jewelry box roll which she said could have used a little more seasoning but was good. My only complaint is that because of the size of the dining area your table selection may not be the best. Our table was right across from the front entrance and every time someone came in we were hit with a gust of cold air. Still a great dining experience.

I think the food is good for the price point and its very convenient for grab and go. The only gripe I have is when I order to go. If there's a new receptionist up front, my order comes out wrong. Wrong food and wrong price. I'm not sure if its because its loud in the restaurant during lunch time or if they are having a hard time on the register. I'm consistent with this one to go order so the vary in price and size is aggravating. I would still recommend this restaurant if you would like to dine in.

Good sushi, good lunch special, good atmosphere. Unfortunately it took ~15 minutes to get the check - shouldn't be anything even close during lunch when people need to get back to work. It wasn't very busy either. It's still one of my top lunch spots in uptown though. Definitely recommend.

Electric atmosphere meets artfully plated sushi along with great Japanese dishes. The place does get busy. The restaurant is usually loud. I can see the wait staff getting flustered and forgetful in lunch service. They promptly removed an item off my tab when it was forgotten. Definitely will be back. Enjoy!

Food was excellent, the decor was excellent and the atmosphere was the highlight of my conversation with my significant other. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The shrimp sauce is kinda sweet which was different than what I was used to but overall I was very impressed. Portions of food were more then I could finish there, and the chocolate mints were exceptionally good.

For a sushi place right in the heart of uptown.....prices were well below what I expected. We ordered a few sushi rolls, hibachi, and appetizers and everything was great. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great, friendly, knowledgeable. Great daily specials on drinks. Would def come back again!
