What looks like a normal chain on the outside is an old school awesome place. Good food and the cashier was very helpful with my order and a few other employees that I got talking with about basketball as it was late and I was the only one in there. The bbq was good can’t wait to try the chicken next time

I had a positive experience with everyone who worked there. I felt welcomed like an old friend, and the pulled pork and slaw was great. I love their vinegar based Eastern style sauce and the slaw had a nice tang to it. I love big band music and the like which was the background music. The place was clean and comfortable for eating in. Food served quickly and hot. I thoroughly love this place and the people who work there.

We came in before noon and the food was nice and fresh. Workers were friendly and overall, food was tasty. Didn’t care much for the sauces they had tho. Fair prices, and will come back to try again!

The employees that work here are AMAZING! Very friendly and polite! Great food, excellent service! Very clean! The young woman behind the counter (Nadina is her name and you should specifically ask for her) was by far the best we have had to serve us and we travel all over having to eat at different places every meal on most days driving a big truck so that says alot! So the people who own this facility and company, She should be moving up in this business and I'm more than positive, she is going to be a great face for this facility!

My first visit to Smithfield's Chicken and BBQ. The customer service was phenomenal. The menu items were explained with advice. The chicken and chicken tenders are fresh and delicious. I will be back when I comeback to Charlotte.

I gotta edit and update this review! Nunu chased me down to bring me my slaw! You don't see that every day... I got all my food, but they forgot to put my slaw in the bag and she was determined she was gonna get it to me and she's sho-nuf DID! Here's to you, Nunu!
This place does exactly what it does to PERFECTION. If you are looking for some good old fried chicken and BBQ with a side of AWESOMENESS then go here. Staff was respectful and helpful. The food is always consistent and the staff is always professional

The chicken is fabulous and the sides are good, but limited. I was surprised at how good the service was for a semi fast food. My drinks were kept topped off better than many full service restaurants and the food was served quickly, but hot.

Food has gone down a tad since opening. They need to change their frying grease a bit more often. Chicken tastes like it's fried in "old oil" but bbq was excellent and hush puppies are always amazing

Without a doubt, if you love Chicken, this is the place to eat! Service is fantastic, and the food is excellent. Never pass this place up, because if you do, you'll miss out on the best chicken in NC!!

The place was clean, food was good, staff was amazing (especially since I had my elderly mother with me and they were so patient while taking her part of the order, enthusiastically explaining the options, etc). I wish there was one in South Carolina near Columbia. I also love the sink to wash your hands in the dining room.

Our first time visiting and it was a delight! The service was amazing...from the cashier, to the guy bringing us the food, to the lady walking around asking if we needed refills! Food was hot and delicious. Recommend the BBQ sandwich, potato salad, and the hushpuppies! Yum!

Went to Smithfield's for the first time this afternoon after seeing signs for it on 85 for years and was pleasantly surprised. The food and service were fantastic and the staff was amazing. And most of all the restaurant was extremely clean!
The chicken snack was gigantic and the tenders were awesome. BBQ was delicious, baked beans were fantastic, and the coleslaw was sweet and tangy. My wife couldn't get enough of their iced tea and has been talking about it for hours.
The staff were so kind. Patient with us having never been there before. Genuinely thanked us for dining there and gave us coupons for our next visit
100% recommend. 6 stars. Will definitely go back, and you should too.
