Excellent food at a good price and if you come right after the lunch rush you get lots of attention.
Despite the late lunch, all of the chips were very fresh with a fresh salsa that still had a little crunch to the onions. The jalapeno salsa is a little on the spicy side for those that don't go that route. The regular salsa did not have much spiciness, so should be good for most tastes.
The Fajita Bowl looked a lot better before I dug in, sorry. Was really hungry and forgot to get this pic at the beginning. The rice, beans, and all other components are not layered, but massed around. You have to stir it up a little if you want a good combination of flavors. The sautéed, whole, mushrooms made for a great addition in place of traditional proteins. For a lunch portion, this was quite generous.
The "fried" ice cream is not fried, but was freshly rolled in sweetened corn flakes so had a nice crispiness. The cinnamon and sugar on the tortilla bowl was perfect and also freshly fried.

Great waiter. All the food ordered was amazing. Patio area overlooks the waterway. Didn't care for the salsa.

Zapata’s has great service and beautiful views of the water. There is an outdoor deck overlooking the water as well. Great service, very accommodating.

I have zero clue why I have never been here before now! Clearly I have been missing out! I wanted some birria tacos and decided to try theirs out for lunch. Honestly probably the best ones I’ve had thus far! And their broth actually had chunks of meat in it, first time I’ve had that happen and my God was it amazing! And I NEVER eat refried beans yet I found myself eating theirs lol. Everything seriously was delicious. Staff was friendly, place was very clean and has a nice decor. And the fried cheesecake was to die for. I will most certainly be back! Going to have to go for dinner one day and get a margarita.

I was looking for a place to grab a quick bite while I finished editing a video. Stopped by here and ordered a margarita which happened to be on special for only $5! And a Chicken taco which was fresh and awesome. There was a bit of a mix up with me only wanting just one taco because I really just like to eat something with my drink while finishing up my work & the waitress was awesome!!! She understood and fixed the issue right away. The food was great, the view is incredible outside and the service good, clean establishment.

Staff was very nice and the wait for food was short! I got the Quesadilla Tacos Birria and it was delicious. Sat on the patio which has a nice view of the water and all the tables have umbrellas for shade. We even got a complementary dessert near the end! A sweet chip for each person with some chocolate and whipped cream, nothing fancy but it was a nice surprise and I appreciated it. Definitely recommend 👍

A group of about 14 ladies met here for dinner. We had one waitress and she was fabulous. She took care of our table better than a team of servers. The strawberry margarita and the crystal ball were so good. I had birria tacos. They weren’t as good as some I’ve had in the past but they were delicious. We didn’t know there would be entertainment. I’m guessing it was karaoke night. We had such a great time. I would definitely recommend this spot on a Friday night with friends. If I’m ever in town again I will be returning.

The restaurant is situated near the Boardwalk so the patio has seating with a nice view. The hospitality was great from all the staff. Margaritas were delicious, and the food was supreme. My only regret is that I was too full to finish my meal!

I love coming here the 2 levels they have for dining are absolutely amazing. Gotta love the view of the lake from pretty much any point in the restaurant. And the food is always amazing and served quite quickly. 10/10

Love this place, it's been on my favorites list for years. I ordered the ground beef tacos and something wasn't right , the meat was too salty and almost tasted burnt. My friends enjoyed their food so overall good experience just not with my food. I will try again soon.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. I don’t recall the name of what I ordered, but our friendly waitress recommended it, and it was great. Fried corn tortilla stuffed with stewed beef and onions, rice and beans on the side. All three were flavorful and delish. My wife ordered the taqquitos rancheros plate, and it was equally great.
Complimentary chips and salsa were great, as was the complimentary dessert, which was maybe a sopapilla? It was fried flat bread with sugar, cinnamon, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. Very crispy and light.
Service is super friendly, attentive, and our food arrived unbelievably fast. Like less than five minutes after ordering. A great place to eat if you are in a hurry.
