Just tried the food for the first time! It was 10/10 delicious. Everyone was super friendly! The jerk sauce was the best I’ve ever had. You can tell that there’s some love put into that food. The music was vibey. Will definitely be back to try the oxtails!

Walked into the restaurant and was greeted by all the staff with love. I ordered LG Oxtail combo and its rice/peas, Mac & Cheese, and cabbage. The food was delicious(as you can tell looking at the picture). They were unfortunately out of plantains when I visited. :(

Date night on a Tuesday. I'd never been here and the love of my life loves Caribbean food. He is from Barbados. The gentleman that served us was very polite and helpful. He was patient with me when I was ordering because I had no clue. They play reggae so it got my love in the dancing mood which is not something that happens on a regular basis lol. So while we waited for our food we danced. It was a Tuesday evening, so it was just the two of us that were dining in. There were plenty of take out orders. I got off work at 7:30pm so I was grateful for the hospitality. They served our food hot and great portion sizes. I would recommend trying Mama's punch. It was awesome and I don't drink alcohol so it was an actual fruit punch with fruits I've never had. I loved the atmosphere. We will go back again. I had curry shrimp and he had goat

I have to admit only Jamaican spot that was open after 7pm that I found. I end up losing my wallet there. Woke the next day looking foe it and remembered that was my last stop before heading home. Lord behold they found it and held it for me.. Cabbage has great favor. Goat was tender to the bite. They was pretty busy for my first time I'm have to try it again

Best oxtails I've ordered in Charlotte since I moved here 7 years ago and it so worth the period.
It was literally falling off the bone and so juicy. The cabbage was so flavor full. Next time, I'm gonna try the curry coat. 20.50 for the small and still a nice fair amount of food I even let my son who is non. Verbal with cerebral palsy and autism taste the food.
I think he likes it And he don't like anything that is table food besides puree and cheetah puffs.
And oodles and noodles. LOl 😂 but yeah you go there and see for yourself I gave them 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the service and 5 stars for the atmosphere make that 15 stars.
I was thanking God so much for my food Because I prayed before I went that I do not spend that much money not like the food that I buy.

Oxtails had a great flavor!! The Mac n Cheese was pretty good, and if you like vinegar in your collard greens then this is the place for you.

First time trying this family owned establishment. The menu is handwritten and hangs where you need to order. I was honored to have "Mama" herself take my order. The service was quick, the food arrived hot and delicious. I had the roti with curried goat and a friend had the small curried goat meal (rice and peas with a side order of plantains). Come here hungry because the portions are huge! The meat was tender and just full of flavor! This isn't your typical Caribbean restaurant it's Mama's Caribbean Grill!

Omg. Took my daughter there today. First of all the the plates of food are huge and it looks soooo good. I had the curry goat,cabbage,mac n cheese,beans and rice plus roti and a mango/ pineapple tea. My daughter had oxtails, collard green plus mac n cheese. The food was sooooo good and steaming hot. The greens were perfect and those oxtails and curry goat??? Uuugh...just so juicy dripping with gravy. Looved the perfectly cooked cabbage n mac n cheese. They should sell the tea by the quart and gallon because I would have taken it home with me. Thanks to the chef and warm wonderful staff. This is now our mom and daughter spot.

My daughter likes to go here. We can only eat the vegetables or fish. So we usually get a veggie plate, collards or cabbage and mac n cheese, peas and rice. Last time we also got fried ocra and fried flounder. It was all good and the service and atmosphere was great.

I give it three stars only because the cabbage wasn't all that good but the curry goat and mac n cheese was wonderful the customer service alone is worth five stars I would most definitely eat there again

Had a great experience at Mama's Caribbean Grill and Bar. Great food! I had the Oxtails and my wife the Jerk Chicken and both were excellent. Will definitely be back! Nice little hidden jewel that needs to be promoted
