Came here out of the blue after just landing in Charlotte.
Went inside, not many people. I check out the menu and order the curry shrimp plate.
Then , about a dozen people came in. I waited about 20 minutes, while everyone got their stuff after a few to 10 minutes. Seems like everyone orders for pickup, no one stays to eat. I did.
The place is like a shrine to the late Bob Marley, pictures on all the walls. My kind of place for sure.
And just like the time with my taxi driver in Jamaica, Clive, I got what I wanted. The food was tasty, hot, and I loved it.
The place is a little loud with music so do make sure they got your order right. I had no problems.

They didn’t miss at all with their cooking style. By far one of the best food spots in the city, I mean this place has unlimited amount of flavor in each bite, it’s good for the soul.
This place is one if not the best Jamaican food places. Authentic flavors, I thought Quigleys was tasty, this place makes your taste buds laugh out loud. Delicious and it really is a Caribbean restaurant. Best in Charlotte area.. I did lunch and two days later drove over an hour to pick up dinner
This place was delicious 😋. We enjoyed all the food. Everything was piping hot when came from the kitchen. And the red stripes were cold and the Sorrell drink was on point
Everything in this restaurant was perfection. Food served fresh and hot and the flavors was literally a party in your mouth ! I’ve tried Caribbean food all over the place here in the area and it’s extremely hard to find one that puts complete love in their food like home cooking ! This is the spot to go !
The customer service was good, the young lady was nice but I wasn't happy with the food. It was warm, came out quick tho. The meat portion was small for $17 small. The ox tails was tender but it was one the curry chicken was decent. So I feel i didnt get my money's worth. Or I'm not a rice type of gal so i don't want half a plate of rice. The plantains were pretty good.
My fish came out so good. I ordered Red Snapper it was $35.00. I wasn’t expecting the price, no online price for it. However the fish came out so good I couldn’t be upset.
I had to take off 1 star. Got the oxtail today and it was full of fat. Also I did not get yellow plantains with my meal. Jamaican food is not complete without fried yellow plantains!
This is definitely a legit jamaican spot. Music blasting inside and out reminds me of restaurants up north. I decided to try the curry goat with rice and peas. Also got a bottle of sea moss.
The food was good. The rice was a little harder than I like so I took of 1 star. Flavor was on point and not too spicy. And I got a ton of meat. Much more than the rice. I'm not a fan of cabbage so I won't comment on that.
The sea moss was delicious! I think I have found my new go to jamaican spot.
1st impression: person at counter not attentive and distracted once ready to place order I was told No Plantains 🤦🏽♀️ Mannnnn……. Counter person did not suggest a interchangeable replacement which was disappointing. Over all food was good okra taste great despite the look oxtail rice and peas tasted well seasoned had little more fat than I’m use to and cabbage tasted proper but I suspected a can of mixed vegetables(carrots,peas,corn) was added.
