Went here this afternoon for a bite with the family. I had the Buffalo Barclay with artichoke and chicken soup, and my wife had the Original Carol with broccoli no bacon. Both in sandwich form. It was really nice. The buffalo had a nice hum, which was unexpected but very welcome, and the soup was warm and comforting, very comfort foody. I also like that they provided a dill pickle spear and a small cookie along with the meal. It was really a great, relatively, cheap meal out that I didn't feel too overly guilty about. I will definitely be back. Oh, and before I forget, the staff were extremely nice, well spoken, and patient with us and the other customers. Some of the best customer service I have come across in Charlotte.
this place has the best chicken salad! my favorite flavors is the classical carol and if you want something more on the sweet side the olivia’s old south has a perfect blend of egg and sweet pickle. i get it on a croissant with L & T, you can get a side too but the sandwich alone is a whole meal! that avgs. $6-$8. the meal is closer to $10-$12.
If you love homemade chicken salad then this is the place for you. They have several different add-ins and a cute name for each flavor of chicken salad. Check out their menu. The spicy side of the chicken salads aren't so spicy that you can't eat them. It's just the right amount of heat. They have pimento cheeses that are really good. The sides just a perfect cool down for that super hot summer day. They have broccoli salad, fresh fruit, pasta salad, grape salad which is so yummy, yummy, yummy and a must try!! Once you try this place, you will be regular customer I guarantee.
I generally only pick up the pre-maid chicken salads which are fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and quick to take your order. Facility is clean and well maintained. A little on the pricey side but good for a treat now and then.
This place is designed for the ladies but they do a good job of trying to include guys based on some funny signs they have posted. It’s a casual place where you order at the counter then just grab a seat.
Some of the chicken salad is really good. Kickin’ Kaylynn is my favorite, it’s spicy and has bacon need I say more?
There are no chicken salad flavors that I tried that we didn’t like. Everything there are perfectly seasoned and my entire family loves when I bring home.
Always a great experience! The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable. Food is reasonably priced and always delicious. Staff has always been quick and helpful. Will continue to keep visiting!
We love CSC! All of the salads are fresh and yummy. Try the grape salad for dessert. Mmmm...
Only issue is small portions for price.

I found this Gem about six years ago when they opened a location uptown inside of the BOA building. Since I no longer work in that building, I made it a priority to seek other locations that are easily accessible.
This location never disappoints. Great Customer Service and always fresh Chicken Salad.
I got the Sandwich combo (Classic Carol) on a croissant it comes with your choice of bread, with lettuce and tomato(I do not get the tomato) also one side with crackers. Usually comes with a signature cookie w/ butter cream and a spear pickle on the side, they forgot my cookie this time, which is why I gave them 4 stars, but I do not eat it anyway, my kids enjoy them.

I substituted a side for an additional scoop and also added another scoop, called “the trio “ for an extra $2. I got the “Kickin’ Kay Lynn” and “Sassy Scottie”.
Classic Carol, it’s a plain chicken salad, while the Kickin’ Kay Lynn has Buffalo sauce, bacon, ranch and Jalapeños and shredded cheddar cheese…it’s mind blowing lol. Also, the Sassy Scottie has similar ingredients but without the Buffalo or Jalapeño.
Their Croissants are always fresh and flaky!!! Chicken salad chick has the best chicken salad I have ever had thus far!
