Went for the chicken wings. Heard so much about them. For the record....they are very good. I think the Uncle Donnie's flavored wings was the best. Onion Rings were huge and had a good flavor as well. This place is a true Dive Bar and very loud. So be warned.
If your looking for some amazing chicken wings, bar bites and fun atmosphere this local bar and grill is an absolute hit! Best chicken wings in 500 miles. Wonderful selection. Do not their blackened wings - they are epic. Also for those of you that like a little heat: try their killer bees - they did not disappoint. These wings deserve six stars. Stop wasting time reading get yourself some Moosehead - you will not regret it.
Wings were DELICIOUS and the ranch was one of the best out there. Only criticism is the sweet potato tots. They could have been fried longer but other than that, everything was so good. I definitely need this again

Absolutely delicious wings! I highly recommend you get them blackened or buffalo or both. All the sauces are really really good, though. The Hoisin Poison really is the hottest sauce I've ever tried. I've tried the Philly as well and it's delicious and the fries are really crispy and tasty, too. Their buffalo shrimp is also very good. Service is usually solidly good. This is one of our go-to places in Charlotte.
The fried mozzarella was some of the best we've ever had. The namesake wings were good, but the PB&J wings were surprisingly amazing. The BBQ quesadilla was a standout. Service was a bit slow; they had two waitstaff covering everything inside and out, which meant for the bulk of the time we didn't see anyone, and then we'd see them both within minutes of each other, but they were friendly.
Onions rings are always on point. The ranch is homemade & the fried cheese is amazing. The chicken wings tossed in Bee Sting is my favorite.

There is often a wait (we went on a Tuesday at 8pm), but the food and service is well worth it. The Blackened and Caribbean Jerk wings are fantastic, but the Bee Stings flavor, recommended by our wonderful server, Baker, are OUT OF THIS WORLD.
The staff here is incredibly attentive, as multiple servers checked in on us throughout the dinner. Moosehead even served their food on mismatched Christmas plates, adding to the eclectic and homey vibe.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I've been going for years and am so glad that any changes they've made (like the awesome rooftop sitting area!) have not influenced the quality of food, the ambience of the bar area, and the general vibe! Moosehead Grill was built in a previous Pizza Hut...and they still have the red plastic cups and the tell-tale windows to prove it! Great selection of beer and food! Uncle Donnie's blackened wings are the best! My partner who is from New England was impressed with the clam chowder! Can't wait until I'm visiting Charlotte again for another delicious meal!
Ya know. 20 years going here, those wings. The blackened ones. Just absolutely superb. I met a 25 year old Gilbert Gottfried lookalike and put Purple Rain on the jukebox maybe 4 times that night. I had my first pitcher of beer with my dad there. Celebrated App State's first National Championship there. Every time I go, a new sticker, trinket, or painting adorns the walls and rafters. I bring my out of town friends every time. I've soiled brand new shoes with over indulgence and wouldn't change anything about those decisions. It's my wife and my favorite place to drink and eat in this town. Impeccable service. The quickest service for drinks I have ever seen. The staff just coalesces and flows off each other, seamlessly. It was clearly an old Pizza Hut with those trapezoid windows. If we can't make up our mind where to go, it's always here. 10/10. Thank you.
Super friendly staff, great atmosphere, yummy food. They have a nice covered balcony but we couldn't sit up there for some reason. Only negative.
You went to this place at 7:00 on a Saturday night. It was busy. Staff was very friendly and the food was good. Duh sweet potato tots was delicious the mazzarella cheese sticks was different but they was good as well and they had pepper. Jack cheese sticks. They made different but people should try it everybody love their food. It was enough to take home
They really thought of everything. I wish they were closer to my home. The moosehead burger was served hot and delicious, the fries were perfect, coleslaw had a bit of a horseradish kick. PBJ wings were like pad Thai as a wing, perfect with Bleu cheese, and the BBQ wings as well were so good and smoky.
Make sure you get a drink! They are strong and made the experience a 10/10 with the funk jam music.
I have been all over in the search of good wings. This spot has THE BEST wings I have ever had. The black and blue and bee-sting are a must try. Great spot for lunch or a quick bite. Chris is hilarious and made us feel like regulars even when we just popped in from out of town. We will be back (terminator voice).
Great atmosphere, every surface is covered with stickers, and there's hidden portraits of Muppets all over the place. Food is excellent. Definitely try the local beer, I had a Sugar Creek blood orange IPA. I generally dislike IPAs but this one was really good, definitely recommend.
The food was great and Michelle was fabulous! Recommendations were 🎯 accurate and she had the nerve to be a great person to boot! One of the few places I've been to Charlotte that's not just a catchy name! Like a famous actor once said, "I'll be back!"
I'm a fan. I was craving wings, and wanted to try a different place. Our family had takeout, and all of us were satisfied. Delicious, good portions, fair prices, friendly staff. The place was PACKED. we'll be back.
