Overall, I enjoyed my meal and appreciated the kind, “southern-hospitality” service. Fries were cut fresh and by hand. A bit soggy so I’d likely get chips if I came back. Was charged $1 for a “typical” side of BBQ sauce (for the fries). With the drink, meal came out to be ~$20 (including 18% tip).
The owner was really nice. Wish her the best with the new ownership. Nice chill place for drinks. Plenty of parking. Kitchen available. I had a decent time.
One of the best bars in all of Charlotte. Comet has really good bar food, and if you’re a fan of burgers, be sure to try The All American. Also, the veggie chili is better than the regular chili. Add this to the fact that the burgers are fantastic (hand patted, JUICY and cooked to order) and the fries sublime (hand cut, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside) means this is an outstanding place to grab a bit to eat. Great burgers! According to their website, they have the best burgers in Charlotte. Their wings are really good too! I took my friend Kevin here who was visiting from Arlington, VA, we both enjoyed it!
Love this cozy spot. Food is excellent, service is too. And there's often great live music. Definitely an easy-going, casual bar vibe going on here, so it's not fancy, but not a dive either.
