One of my fave icecream places to visit when I’m in Charlotte, because they have vegan options. The cookie butter flavor is amazing!! And they let you taste the flavors before you decide.
My sons took me to the local scoop. And we all had those large waffle cones and are choice of ice cream and it was awesome. While we were there more people came in so there was just a whole lot of people in there, just enjoying ice cream. It was delicious!.
The ice cream is a bit too sweet for me but the creamy texture is what I like. 6 star for service! The girls are so patient and sweet when we couldn’t decide what to get, good job local scoop!
Excellent ice cream. I am FODMAP sensitive and many foods with artificial ingredients cause digestive issues. I asked about their waffle cones and woman behind the counter was nice enough to show me the mix they use. I had strawberry and vanilla in a waffle cone and no issues! Wonderfull!
The Local Scoop was a great experience for a sweet treat after lunch. We got the Blondie and Dutch Chocolate, and highly recommend Blondie. They’ve both cups and cones available. The staff is polite and there’s seating area available inside as well. Parking is available outside.

Great ice cream! Homemade waffle cones! Generous portions. They’ll make anything into a milkshake! The only downside is, they don’t have chocolate malts.
The fam loves this ice cream place. A fun cow outside for pics and a grassy area and fountain across the way for the kids to run around on. It is such a great place to get an amazing treat and wear out the kids. 😉
Wow! Some of the best ice cream I have ever had! I had a two scoop cup with Sea Salted Caramel and Banana Pudding. It was awesome. My coworker got a two scoop cup of honey vanilla and he liked it as well. Really great homemade ice cream. Highly recommend this place!

Appears to be a very wonderful location. Nice staff and good portions. Very clean and neat. Very clean restrooms that normally tell me a lot about the place. Extremely nice owner that plays with flavors all the time and makes his own ice cream right here with locally sourced items.
Delicious, creamy ice cream. Lots of flavor choices and everything is locally sourced. Staff is really sweet and helpful. And great price for the quality of the ice cream. The Local Scoop is our new favorite ice cream spot.
