We've ordered Hawthorne's delivery a few times, their pizza and calzones are delicious and reasonably priced. The toppings are varied and fresh, and unlike many New York style pizzerias, Hawthorne's pizza is not over oily. We went today for dine-in, and the waiter was extremely courteous and professional. The outdoor seating area is pretty, has plenty of cover if the weather isn't perfect, and some nice outdoor cushions for large gatherings.

The food looked good and the restaurant was clean with plenty of staff to cover a very busy Friday night. I picked up to take home. We had a NY style pizza and a vegetarian pizza, but I was not a huge fan of either. It was a good meal, just not my favorite.

Huge surprise. The food was great. Large portions and delicious. I ordered The Crew 9" pizza and Penne Ala Vodka. Way too much for one person... but I ate the lot. Was way too nice not to finish. The staff were good but the atmosphere was missing for me. A few more TV screens with sports on or live music or something would have made the experience perfect.

Pizza was AMAZING. Wings were INCREDIBLE. And the service was OUTSTANDING. Been meaning to try this place for a while and so glad we did. We are DEFINITELY coming back!

I love Pizza and I have pretty high standards. I've tried different restaurants, made my own, etc. I've tried a couple different Hawthorne's and this one is definitely up there as one of the best. The New Yorker is an amazing pie. I finally tried the Crew Pizza this time and I don't know if I'll get anything else again.
Our server was Rachel and she was nice, friendly, attentive, and wasn't over bearing about checking on us. She was an ideal server. Looking forward to coming back.

I live nearby, and have been at the Ballantyne location several times. Welcoming and friendly service. Fair prices, nice location and the dishes never disappoint. Great family restaurant. This is their Godfather sandwich and ravioli.

I recently ate dinner at Hawthorne's on a Friday night with a friend. It was very crowded, which is a good sign that people like eating here. They also have a busy takeout service. We sat at the bar and had a pepperoni pizza that was outstanding. I ate four slices because it was so good, and I usually do not eat that much. They also have a good craft beer selection, and the bartenders provide good service. I am a fan of Hawthorne's pizza.

3 stars is a little generous today. Bought 2 different large pies for $55.12 Very dry with little to no sauce. See the pic. Like no sauce on either pie! Disappointing flavor and very dry. I’ve been a fan in the past and my wife and daughter have been less enthusiastic. I was hoping to convert them into fans with these two pies. Didn’t work. I think this actually sealed the deal that they won’t get pizza from Hawthorne in the future. 🙁
Additionally, the distribution of pepperoni was uneven. 1 slice, see added pic, had barely 2 whole pepperonis.
Very disappointing tonight and missed opportunity to impress my family.
I called and spoke to the manager Paul and he refunded me and I told him I would edit the review to reflect that. Thanks Paul. I’ll bump this to 4 stars although only because of your courtesy. Thanks again.

Been here before and it was great! Went again just after watching the exorcist at the theatre. Service was good and the pizza we had was fantastic. Just kinda surprised that they 86'd the spinach artichoke dip from the menu. But other than that it was wonderful!

The few times that we have gone there, the staff has been exertional. The serve one time went out of his way to take care of our daughter, bring her a small treat. She was so happy with his kind gesture. We love Hawthorne's, it's Via's go to place.

Hawthorne's NY Pizza 🍕 in Ballantyne continues to deliver. Not in the literal sense, as we prefer dine in 😆. More specifically, they really do serve authentic thin crust NY Pizza that is hot and fresh every time. Their garlic knots are a must have side, and Stromboli is worth a go 👍. See you soon staff, and job well done!

My daughter took me out to dinner and since she's very picky w/ the Pizza she likes (Hawthorne being one), we opted for an early dinner here.
We arrived around 5:45pm and just missed "the rush". As we ate, it got quite busy (a good sign). We were in a rush and the waitress was very accommodating.
We had the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, and I must say they were "meh"-OK .. on par w frozen sticks from the supermarket. The dipping sauce was Ok.
My daughter ordered a plain cheese pizza. It seemed a bit undercooked to me, but she liked it.
I ordered the "Meat Pasta" and it came w/ PLENTY of meat .. Italian sausage, Meatballs, and Bacon in a meaty Bolognese cream sauce. After the mozzarella sticks, I was skeptical, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The meat combos worked .. in a hefty, filling sort of way.
In Summary, the service was good and the meal was satisfying enough for me to try Hawthorne's again and give it a 4 star rating (honestly, would've been more of a 3.5--4.0, but not an option). Next time I'll try the Pizza for sure.

Here is a shout out to Olivia and the great staff at Hawthorne's! Called them last minute to get reservation for 14. They had our table ready for us when we got there at 7. We ordered 4 large pizzas and they were awesome. Olivia was our waitress and she was amazing. We were celebrating multiple birthdays. If you want great food and great service, this is your place. Thanks again Hawthorne's!
