First time at Haymaker and it did not disappoint!! Our server was Zach and he was amazing. Food was incredible as well! Can’t wait to go back again! Everyone there was very nice even the manager stopped by to check on my husband and I. Perfect place for a date night!
I like the vibes of this spot.
But the Haymaker breakfast I ordered was too pricey for what it is. And the potatoes were overdone.
My husband's steak and eggs were good (I tasted some of the steak). He had grits too which were good.
Instead of traditional biscuits & gravy, we ordered the tomato gravy with the biscuits. Tasted like pizza sauce. The biscuit was good by itself though.
I don't remember what that cocktail was called but it was amazing!
We went to Saturday brunch with 8 for a birthday celebration. The food was wonderful as we taste tested each others’ dishes. The atmosphere of the table at the window was delightful. The service was pleasant and we were well cared for. A must to experience local farm grown fresh foods. Go check it out.

If you've never been to Haymaker, you're missing an incredible dining experience! We enjoyed the Octopus Carpaccio, Pan Seared Chicken and Beef Short Ribs - Wow! This chef is exceptional! The flavor profiles, and presentation were just amazing. We also had the pleasure of meeting their bartender, Justin. I had some incredible hand crafted mocktails - they were almost too beautiful to drink but absolutely delicious. Not your average mocktail either... these drinks were like nothing I've ever had.
I can't say enough about this establishment and their staff. You really have to experience it for yourself!
We were running late for our reservation but the lady we spoke to was very accommodating. The moment we walked in we felt like we were part of the ‘family’. Everyone was welcoming and made sure our experience was amazing, even though they were close to closing. The waiter (forgot his name) provided some great recommendations and had such passion about the way he talked about the food and drinks. We got the rabbit tagliatelle and chicken and dumplings and some cocktails. I’m not the biggest fan of chicken and dumplings but not only was this the best chicken and dumplings I’ve ever had, but it was the best dish I’ve had in a long time! This chef is incredible. The flavor profiles on the chicken were amazing. If we lived in Charlotte, this place would be become our go to spot. 10/10 recommend!
Beautiful ambience and decor. The French toast was decadent but also fresh with berries. The egg Benton had a tomato gravy that really complimented the eggs. Would recommend for a formal brunch outing or as a nice date spot!
Haymaker is now being run by the group from Good Year House. We went there last night, and the food and the staff blew me away! The manager Jacque greeted us immediately. We sat at the bar and I had the mountain trout. I wasn't even sure I really liked trout but it was AMAZING! My husband had the lasagna which was vegetarian and immediately said it was the best he has had in Charlotte. We also saw the chef Chris Coleman leave while we were eating which explains a lot. The wine was also perfect and not ridiculously expensive. I can't wait to go back for their brunch. It is a whole new menu and I'm thrilled to have such a delicious restaurant in Uptown.
The food was OUTSTANDING!
Service was incredible.
ALL staff we interacted with - including a 20 minute conversation with the sous chef - were very friendly and attentive.
The restaurant itself is beautiful.
We had an amazing experience and will definitely return!
Amazing! We started with the biscuit with gravy. The DayTripper was a great drink, not too strong but strong enough. A little tangy but sweet too! The Bloody Mary had a really good amount of spice and “pepperey-ness.” The French toast was a 10/10. Not too rich and sweet, the whipped cream on top had hints of vanilla. The Shrimp A La Plancha was so thick yet still creamy. The whole meal was just perfect! The atmosphere was great as was the staff. Our waitress was very pleasant and quick! Can’t recommend enough.
We had a business event here lots of rave reviews. Service was also phenomenal. Well, not known for its vegetarian food. They did prepare a fantastic cauliflower dish. Which might have been better than many of the other options.
