Excellent down home food. The fried chicken is crispy, not greasy and full of flavor. Fried okra is perfect and the mac n cheese is like grandma makes. Service is friendly, fast and attentive. Prices can't be beat.

This is a great local spot. I selected this place because I'm always looking for the place the locals go and I was not disappointed. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be a regular except me. If you want to avoid chain restaurants or really expensive food, this is a definite recommend. It was like going to your Aunt's house for dinner. The food selection is vast, very reasonably priced and good portions. I had the country fried steak, over real mashed potatoes with country gravy, collard greens and broccoli/cheese casserole plus corn bread. Again, food was great and just like home. I can tell by the regular clientele that this restaurant is consistent with their food and experience. Staff was so pleasant and the entire atmosphere is inviting. Be aware breakfast stops promptly at 11am.
Straight shooting breakfast diner. Great prices, tasty food, very nice waitress, and fast service. Highly recommend this no fuss breakfast diner.

If you are vegan I do not recommend but for everyone else try them out yourself. After you eat you will pay when you leave out at the front desk.
I definitely recommend this place! If you like good food, great service and a friendly environment then look no further. I ordered the Yankee Skillet with hashbrowns and a biscuit. Plenty of food and delicious. I look forward to being back in this neck of the woods so I can eat here again. Excellent job, thank you.
Good old southern style cooking, food was great and friendly staffs. Place is always pack so plan to be there early for breakfast or lunch.

Food is good. Calling ahead in the morning would be the ultimate thing to do. It can get hectic when very busy. Your food can get mixed up and given to someone else.
My boyfriend and I frequent here often. We mainly order breakfast. I have to say I am so pleased at how authentic and good everything taste. And the icing on the cake is that the customer service is outstanding. If you haven’t tried this place you need to try it ASAP.
I was in town for a week and went to Stockyard pretty much every chance I could (within reason, anyway). The folks who own, run and serve are all "good people", fun and professional. I just enjoy the down-home atmosphere. And the food's good, too. In additional to the traditional options on the menu, you can flex (I opted for a fruit bowl to complement my spinach omelet rather than hash browns). Waitresses are friendly and always on their toes. Highly recommended.
