Stopped for a quick bite. The asada tacos were a little chewy and lacked flavor. The bartender did good to be the only one making drinks and taking Togo orders. The chips weren’t to my liking. The atmosphere was a little too American and traditional for me. At least I wasn’t hungry when I left. I probably won’t return. Being a foodie and a food critic, my opinion may be a little bias. The average person may like the food.

So I never leave reviews for anything. Just not my style. But I have to say this was by far the best Mexican food that I have had in Charlotte. The portions are perfect the service is great, staff is very friendly and fast! 10/10 would recommend. I haven’t stopped thinking about how amazing the food was since I left there.

I've not been to such a delicious authentic Mexican restaurant in quite some time, and I have to say, coming to this establishment was well worth it. A nice little restaurant, I was already charmed by the "Luchador" motif of the restaurant's sign. As soon as I sat at the table, I was greeted by some of the most friendly and welcoming wait staff I've ever seen. An unlimited amount of toasted tortilla chips paired with their fresh home made salsa whets the appetite, my main course of Enchilladas Verde tasted amazing. You can really tell the amount of love and soul that goes into each dish here. Freshly made, great staff, will be back very soon.
Do yourselves a favor and treat yourselves to this restaurant. The authenticity in the food is absolutely delicious.

1900 is a great, cozy place. They have awesome daily specials. All of the employees are super friendly and attentive, the food is delicious (and with good prices), the drinks are great (highly suggest the margarita pitcher, or any of the margaritas)! Definitely try it for your next day or night out!

8/24/2022 went here for dinner. I ordered the enchiladas salsa verde! It was absolutely delicious! I haven’t been to this place in a very long time. We had fresh guacamole dip which was gone before I could take a photo. The waitress was friendly and service was great.
I tried the mango tres leche dessert it was yummy as well. I would recommend this place!!

Solid restaurant. Decent service. Good selection of typical Mexican dishes. Taco combo pricing structure is a bit strange. Tacos were well made. I got the grilled chicken tacos. It had bacon bits on top which was great. They were ok but delicious with some hot sauce. The rice and refried beans were good. The steak taco was ok as well. Prices just a tad on the high side for what you get but pretty solid food.

Ceviche of the Day was Scallops (and small scallops, which I love). The fish was light yet fulfilling eith avocado, lime, cilantro, radish and red onions. Mexican Street Corn was perfection! Arroz Con Pollo is perfect for anyone who loves Chicken,Rice and Cheese. Please order chips, salsa, queso and most definitely their quacamole!!💯

I was not expecting much when I saw the menu. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the 1900 Carne Asada, and so far, the best steak I had in a Mexican restaurant in Charlotte. I also had the watermelon margarita, delicious. This will be my go-to Mexican restaurant in the area.

I rarely eat Mexican food .. but it was my husband’s choice for dinner tonight. This was honestly the best Mexican food I have had in over a decade. Looking forward to returning!

This was one of the best experiences ever! The margaritas are mixed in house with juices and their own recipe, (add Grand Marnier!!!) They are hands down the best!!! The house Salsa is full of flavor and has fresh cilantro, onions, and other ingredients, one of the best I have had in a very long time! We had the house guacamole it is fresh made in house and is absolutely to die for!!!...let's just say, we will be back and bring all our guests that come to stay with us in Charlotte as well. We just moved from Columbus, Ohio and have loved going to our local Mexican restaurants, well we have definitely found our own new place here in Charlotte!!! Maria, one of the owners is so wonderful, she checked on us regularly and was training a new person, Alondra, who was also very talented and great with us.
If I could give you 10 stars I would Maria!!! I love this place and hope you are here another 100 years! We will be back soon, and regularly!!!!

I stopped in here for dinner after a meeting in the area and my experience was wonderful! I sat at the bar since it was just me and the bartender was very friendly and polite, checking in on me throughout my visit. I got a watermelon margarita and it was amazing! I didn't snap a picture of my food because as soon as he set it down, I dug in! Atmosphere was chill, few people (sure more showed up after I left) and employees were wearing masks when communicating with customers which I really like! Definitely will stop in again and will probably bring some friends (I'll need a DD if I'm going to try some more tequila! lol)

Worst service ever. Food was average but once we sat down and ordered they ignored us until food came as we sat with empty Margarita glasses. Won't be back.

Customers are not "Special" at 1900 Mexican Grill. The food was good, but not exceptional...was a disappointing experience because of indifference the management showed when we experienced a problem trying to use a coupon. We clearly displayed our dining coupon on the table, we ordered the drink special that was posted and then ordered our meals, when checking out we were told that because we had gotten the "special" drink we could not use the coupon. Now I understand that the back of the coupon says can not use with any other specials but I think that was splitting hairs...we ordered meals off of the regular menu...would not have ordered the drinks if we would have been told that from the beginning. When I asked for the manager all he would say was read the back of the coupon. He obviously had no interest in trying to win our business....won't go back there again...there are too many restaurants in Charlotte that care about their customers!!

This place is the most unauthentic Mexican food ever!!!! Horrible customer service!!!! Shredded chicken taste like it was from a can!!! Had way to much grease it was just an overall horribly bad experience!?!!

Pollo Pablano = delicious!!! Also, like their salsa it is refreshing to be served homemade salsa @ a Mexican restaurant. Staff very attentive on a Thursday evening. Will definitely be back!

Worst service ever! I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's Day. The service was awful and the food was mediocre, at best. We asked for a couple minutes to look over the drink menu, when we first sat down. That couple of minutes, turned into 20. Our waitress walked right by numerous times. We didn't get our meal until an hour had gone by. Drinks went dry. Needless to say, a big tip was not earned.

Food is great, service SUCKS. It takes 10 minutes to get a refill on water, while the manager stands there and looks at your table. Servers keep walking by just looking at you, some don't know what they're doing.

A for Effort. 1900 makes a mean flauta and extra-juicy carnitas. Sadly their tamales and enchildadas and the like are without pizzaz and rely heavily on salt for flavor. In short, stick to the more authentic dishes and you won't be disappointed.

So so. It was alright. The quesadillas lacked flavor and the salsa lacked heat. The margaritas DEFINITELY lacked tequila.

The menu offers several vegetarian options, including salads, a Black Bean Burger (this IS Charlotte), Veggie Fajitas, and a Veggie Burrito. We determined the salads could be customized. The Veggie Fajitas could be made vegan by leaving off the sour cream and the Veggie Burrito could be made vegan by leaving off the cheese. It was unclear whether the Black Bean Burger would be vegan even without the cheese and aioli (black bean burger patties frequently have egg as a binder).
