I have become a regular here and have found every visit to be perfect! The food is made fresh, the sushi is the best in Charlotte and great for the price! The red curry thai is also delicious! - I also love that this is family owned and operated. I will definitely keep coming back!
Ok so I literally eat at this place almost everyday! And everyone knows me because I order everything super spicy (Bahn Thai has been the only place I'm Charlotte to get it right)!
I recently decided to go vegetarian and do not have a good catalog of recipes so Bahn Thai has really been a savior for me. Not only is the foods absolutely awesome -- the vegetables are fresh---the service is amazing and prices are reasonable (especially during lunch)!
very good thai food and many options on thier menu.moderately priced .very courteous staff.we have been there many times .my husband is vegetarian and he was delighted to see he had many options too
Best Thai in Charlotte period. Food fantastic . Service is friendly and attentive. Very clean great atmosphere.. The only negative is that it was crowded but what do you expect on a restaurant that awesome .
Used to have to go to Thai Taste near South End for what my wife and I think is the best Thai in CLT but no more. We live in South CLT and we love this place. We'll worth a try if you're a fan of Thai food.

Great Thai!. Excellent Thai food and surprisingly very, very good sushi. Staff is friendly and attentive. They will spice each meal on a scale from 1 to 5. I wouldn't recommend going higher than a 3 unless you really like the heat!

Great Thai Food!!!!!. We met a friend here for lunch today. This restaurant has only been open for a couple of months. The restaurant is beautiful inside; even the bathroom is beautifully decorated.
They have a separate lunch menu, which includes a separate menu that offers two sushi rolls, soup or salad for $9.95. My hubby had shrimp pad thai, and I had the shrimp gaeng dang (red curry). Deep fried egg rolls were included with an absolutely delicious dipping sauce; it must be homemade because I have never tasted anything like it! The spring roll was warm and crunchy with just the right amount of veggies and doneness. Both were delicious. Hubby.had egg drop soup, and I had the salad with ginger dressing. Everything was extremely tasty.
Tremendous Thai that's on our regular rotation. I've tried a lot of the entrees and they're all very good. This day was the Pud Met Ma Muang. Great service, too!
Always look forward to coming here to enjoy delicious Thai food! We had the crispy spring rolls, dumplings and Tom kha soup for appetizers. For the entree we had Mussaman curry, Pad prik prao and drunken noodles. Sticky rice w/ mangoes was the perfect dessert to finish off the meal! Service was excellent and quick despite being short staffed. Highly recommend!
It was always good. Whenever I am passing through on that side of the city I will stop in. It’s convenient right off the interstate. They also accept Apple Pay. Food was always served hot and not overly salted.
Back in October of 2023 and they are still crushing. The tom yum soup is the best I've had and I usually get the shrimp added to it.
Always good carry out for dinner if you like Thai food. Always get the Tom Young soup, egg rolls, and a Thai dish which is always great. Be careful on how spicy you make it because their spices are legit.
Update May 2022, they're still crushing at the food is excellent! The glass and beer were so cold there was a frost of ice across the top of my Sapporo!
Fast forward to July 2022, still good and would recommend this place for either dinner or carryout.
Flash forward to October 2022 they are still crushing it I put this sushi and sashimi right up there with cowfish...
Casual dining but man, great quality sushi (the rice was perfect too) and beef red curry - ok, I like hot but this was another level! Delish! Warning: the Thai Hot level can be too hot for most but I loved it! Good service! Clean place. I’d go back again as prices weren’t bad for what you get either. Nice tucked away Thai joint!
Great experience again at Bahn Thai! The food was delicious, and the service was good. The hostess upon entry had an amazing energy that was welcoming and refreshing. My favorite place for Thai!
AMAZING! Bahn Thai is one of the first places I have ever eaten that actually serves a true “Double Thai Hot” dish! The flavor of the Gaeng Mussamun (L11) was extraordinary, even more so with the mouth burning double Thai spice level.
The Thai iced coffee was perfectly sweetened and was quite large for $4.25.
I highly recommend visiting if you are in the mood for wonderful Thai food with a great service staff!

Awesome food. Fried dumplings were filled with a lot of chicken. We loved it. Curry and Pud Woon Sen was also awesome.They have side fried rice option which is also great option. Loved it.
Absolutely love this place. Theo be of best Thai food around the south Charlotte area. I’ve tried different dishes with great success. Super delicious and high quality food offerings.

Lovely taste, right size cut for veggie, plenty of protein, thick curry with tight spice and sour.
We ordered
1. Red Thai curry. - Lots of bamboo shoot. Even lunch portion was huge enough. Curry was lip smacking.
2. Pineapple fried rice - Rice was boiled to perfection. Not mushy and light coated with sauce.
3. Basil fried rice - Again well cooked.
Complimentary spring roll was hot and crunchy.
Excellent service.
Highly recommended and will be our go-to place.
