I was so impressed with the choices of food here.. the staff was very helpful & the food was phenomenal! Good clean eating here *** update 2/8/18 Oh my goodness I just can't get enough of this place! Customer service & quality of food is off the charts! Today I had a meeting in Charlotte & decided to have lunch at Earls.. I got a tuna sub & leek potato soup... it was delicious, however the bread on bottom of sub was a bit soggy. I continued to eat at least have of it as I was in a hurry ( still delicious) but let the earl crew know... let me tell ya Kelly & Tj were the best.. went to the back & had a fresh sub made... by their notion not mine.. This place really rocks! I'll travel from Indian trail, Matthews area in a heartbeat for Earl's Grocery!!

Nothing too far out Earl's but definitely some well cultured, bistro style cuisine made with high quality ingredients. Excellent coffee from Pure Intentions (charlotte roasted) made by talented baristas. They have a good selection of some interesting food products, beer, wine and sodas. They also have some pretty good prepared food items to take home such as sides and salads. The deserts are fantastic. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. My son was born at the hospital across the street in January, so during our three day stay I brought food and decaf coffee back to his mother every day. Every time I'm in the neighborhood I stop in for something. I highly recommend you check them out.

This was a great Yelp find! We enjoyed two grit bowls (one with chorizo added) and two bottles of orange juice for about $25. I would have preferred one more egg and less chow chow for the generous amount of grits that were in the bowl, but I’m certainly not complaining. Although we didn’t purchase any, the bottles of wine were reasonably priced for the markup a boutique spot like this could have charged. If I lived nearby, the amount of local/mom and pop brands they offer would be reason enough to stop by often and grab nice treats for dinner and dessert.

Always a great spot for a bite and local beer. The menu updates frequently but you can expect lots of house made salads and appetizers to accompany their brunch and sandwich options.

Delicious food and great local products. They have a lot of dedicated vegetarian options and plenty of substitutions. Make sure to try the Banh Mi sandwich with lemongrass tempeh. It's probably the best I've ever had. Ambience is nice and there are plenty of tables

Cool place with great sandwiches, excellent baked goods, and various prepared foods for very reasonable prices. Beer, wine, cider, and various non-alcoholic beverages available by can and bottle. Order at various counters and eat in their comfortable dining area or take to go. Free parking lot across the street.

I am a huge fan of Earl’s Grocery! The use fresh ingredients and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. Since it is convenient to work I often pop in and grab a prepackaged lunch, but they do have a hot grill and seating should you have more time. I highly recommend the Cheshire Salad! Yumm!!

This place is great. I was staying in the Presby hospital and needed an alternative to the cafe. Got a bahn mi sandwich and a bison hot dog, the sandwich was good but the hot dog was incredible. We also got some sweets from the bakery which were delicious. Great selection of craft beer as well.

So many choices to choose from at Earl's. Everything I have tried so far is extremely good. Large drink selection. Lots of different cheeses to select from which is a lot of fun if you like variety. The banh mi sandwich and Poke bowl are solid choices. I meet friends here often and their food always looks amazing as well. Never get bad feedback from friends on their food. it is a great place to hangout and enjoy company while having a bite to eat in a relaxed atmosphere. I would suggest Earl's to anyone as it is good for all ages and interests. There is something here for everyone. Great atmosphere laid back. Good parking options and easy to get in and out of. Cant wait to make my next trip here.

This place never fails to amaze me! Ever evolving menu of top notch sandwiches and entrees (seriously...it’s hard to order the same thing twice but rest assured everything they serve is ridiculous). Delicious iced lattes. Bodega style market including side dish staples like sesame noodles made fresh daily. Wine, beer (local included), cheese, chocolate, and ice cream selections. Not to mention plenty of desserts and pastries on hand including one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had! Very friendly staff and the environment is chill and laid back. They even have garage door windows that they roll up when the weather nice. Prices can be a little high but trust me it’s worth it! Highly recommend this place!

A lot of really great things to try. For lunch I recommend the Fried Rice Bowl with pork belly. They also have a great Veggie Burger. There are a ton of different beverages you can try that range from root beer to sparkling water to really good coffee. The people are nice and the atmosphere is good for the most part. They also have a brunch option on Sunday’s and it’s really good.
