Everything was great ,the flounder fish and whiting were great 👍 and the cakes 🎂 mhummm!!!!! Delicious .double chocolate and pound cake. The staff were very nice and very friendly 😀 loved the place. Down to earth, real people.
just recently ordered takeout from La’Wan’s and I will say I wasn’t a fan of the rice but I’ll blame it on the fact that I ordered close to closing time. Chicken was nice and tender , loved that it came with stuffing and gravy. The yams were amazing and the cornbread was sweet. It was cheaper than Soul Central!
I genuinely enjoy Lawans. The food portions are filling for me, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. I usually add sides to create a full meal and it’s always good. I typically order delivery and my order is hardly ever incorrect. They also have a all you can eat buffet option in the restaurant. I have only been once a few years ago but I remember the price being reasonable and I enjoyed the available options provided on the buffet table. I don’t have any complains, good soul food if your ever looking for something in that area.
La'Wan's is amazing! Yesterday, I had the catfish, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, roll, and sweet tea. Everything was super delicious! And the sweet tea reminded me of my grandmother's wonderful sweet tea from years ago. Everybody there is super nice and professional. This place is definitely southern cooking at its finest and now I really want to go back and try other things on the menu as well!
Excellent as always! We try to stop by whenever in town. No dining in, but can take out. Call in your order because they are busy, especially on Saturday. If you don't, you may have to wait a while.
THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEEEEESSSSSSTTTT RESTAURANTS I HAVE BEEN TO IN A WHILE. The team was extremely nice and friendly. I called them at 5pm and let them know about 20+ of us would be coming between 6p-7pm. 28 of us arrived and they were so accommodating. Nobody had an attitude and they seemed very happy to serve our family. We literally took over the place that night. The food did take a little long but we all ordered different items at different times and everything was FRESH. We had the catfish, fried chicken, shrimp, chicken strips, gizzards, whiting and the sides mac&cheese, potato salad. yams, fries ....ummmm ummm good. All the food was EXCELLENT!! All 28 of us had no complaints. It was a breath of fresh air walking into this restaurant. This dinner was a highlight to our entire trip. It was MARVELOUS!!! I will def go back the next time I am in Charlotte.

When I tell you I have 0 complaints, I mean 0! Everything was delicious! I will definitely be going back. I couldn’t decide on which dessert, so I bought 3; the banana pudding, carrot cake and lemon cake 😋
The food was fresh and hot. My daughter enjoyed her chicken tenders fries and Mac n cheese. Her favorite was of course the strawberry cheesecake. We will definitely return!
LOVED the food!!! Absolutely needed it🤤🤤 External environment is ok-ish (recommend going more during day-time hours), but inside you feel like you're at local a family diner. I have gone back more than once already so, definitely still worth it!!
My family and I enjoyed Easter dinner here and everything was great! The food was delicious...mac-n-cheese on point and fish (fried or broiled) seasoned just right! The staff was friendly and welcoming. Prices were reasonable. Thank you for making Resurrection Sunday that much more blessed! We will return soon!
