Decent size portions for the price. The shrimp tacos were fantastic. The other stuff was good. The presentation is nice. Service was quick and friendly. Ate outside which was delightful. Inside is always very noisy.
Really nice place. I love the colorful look of the dining room. Lunch specials are very generous in pricing and portion size, and include chips and salsa. I had the steak fajita wrap. It’s a cross between a classic steak fajita and a cheesesteak. Gooey and delicious. The fries were really good too. Crispy and well seasoned, and the cheese sprinkled on top was a nice touch. If I lived/worked closer I would probably be a regular!
I really don’t get that much here at all except for their chopped salad with grilled salmon cooked medium with their citrus I believe cilantro dressing! That and their tableside guacamole are to die for! Tacos were ok, large!
Food was great and fresh. Queso is different. More chunkier than I'd like. Lump crab and avocado quesadilla was really tasty.
Cantina 1511 was delicious. I tried the Lump Crabmeat Quesadilla, it was fresh with a great taste. Perfect place to grab a bite after watching a movie in the area.
Service was amazing food came out within 15 minutes of ordering.
I love the Southwest Cobb salad! Always fresh and filling!
Pretty solid option that manages to walk the line between your college town Mexican spot and some of the more creative options around town. Very approachable in a way that won't disappoint but manages to miss out on being amazing.
Super bonus points for having pozole (also pasole) on the menu. The only place in Charlotte that I know of.

Customer service was terrible on many levels. This was my first and last visit to Cantina 1511 and it had been highly recommended by a friend. The only good thing about the experience is that the food we finally received was excellent. UPDATE..... I sent an email to Mr. Courtney, the General Manager, about my experience and have not received any acknowledgment.... This clearly demonstrates why the service is as it is....it comes from the top down !!!! UPDATE 4/2/17 ...I received an email after my last review update and was advised that there was a new General Manager. I received a refund for the meal and a gift certificate to dine again on the house! We went back last night and the service was very different. I was greeted by the manager on staff at the time who assisted with our wine selection. The waitress seemed to be new but was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. I truly sensed a different atmosphere from the customer service perspective. I certainly need to mention again, the food was amazing! We will absolutely be returning. Thank you Cantina 1511 for stepping up your customer service!
We went on a Saturday night so of course it was busy. We had overall good service but had to ask for drinks to be refilled several times. I know they’re very busy at this time however. The food was all fresh and good. I have a cheese allergy and asked them to hold the cheese on my salad. When my salad came they were still pieces of cheese on it like someone had scraped it off. I am severely sensitive and so was trying to take the top layer off my salad As I was unable to address it with the rates for us. A manager noticed and immediately came over and asked what was wrong. She brought the salad back and had a fresh one out within five minutes with a nice apology. Will definitely go back.
