My lovely wife Liz and I eat at the Big View Diner at least once a week, and I must remark that the food is exceptional. I order the breakfast steak with poached eggs quite often as my diet (keto) requires it. My breakfast steaks are done to perfection nearly every time and even more difficult the poached eggs tend to be perfectly cooked as well. I think this is significant as this is not a steak house and everywhere else in town I have to order my eggs scrambled as Big View’s competition cannot figure out how to poach an egg correctly. For dinner and lunch I suggest the chopped steak. I am certain that they are putting crack in the gravy as it is beyond delicious and I crave it. The servers are well trained, likable and seldom does my drink glass empty. Marcus and Kristen are my personal favorites and I have never had bad service from any of the others even when the place is filled to capacity on a Sunday morning. The Hostess is organized and expedient; Rachel remembers faces and names very well and works the fine line of seating people as fast as she can and letting some seats empty to give the kitchen a break. Holly (one of the managers) is polite, kind, and demands the best from her staff. Frank (one of the owners) is almost always expediting and takes great care that every order is perfect. TL/DR it’s a damn good place to eat and do yourself a favor and eat there.
I love Big View Diner! Not only is the food great but the staff is so friendly, attentive, and always on top of their game. Even when it's packed on Sunday mornings! Kudos to them because that's not easy.
The Bakery is decadent. I melt at the smell of it when I walk through the doors!
The owners are wonderful. They have done an amazing job and running the Diner and the new menus are awesome!!

Big View Diner located at 16637 Lancaster Hwy, Charlotte, NC 28277 is a phenomenal diner! Very, very nicely decorated Restaurant that doesn’t feel like a Diner at all. Great food, service and the prices are fair too. Quite a varied menu too. Most recently I got their Turkey Dinner and my wife got their Steak Salad. Both were great. Manager came by and she was excellent too. Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Tremendous bakery too for cakes and pies.

Timothy was kind, caring, and extremely efficient. He managed the bar area and the tables with speed and caring. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. I do have a concern as the portion of cake that was prepared as take out was oddly cut. The portion ended up being less than the usual portion size. Going forward maybe the person cutting the desserts would need more instruction on how to repair a miss cut. Timothy did NOT know about this issue as he only refastened the packaging on the top item in the take out bag which was a regular size piece of chocolate cake. All in all I will be back as the food and service are delightful. This was a minor issue that I trust will be handled smoothly.
I had my baby shower in the private room and I truly can’t say enough good things about this place!! The atmosphere, the food, the hospitality was 10000/10!! Ally the manager, Hibbah the pastry chef, our server Toni, Mayya, everyone went above and beyond for us truly. It’s been 2 days and my family and I are still talking about how amazing the food and desserts were. Hibbah and Ally were in constant contact leading up to the event making sure everything was taken care of. I will be referring all my friends and family here and I will be definitely coming back for the amazing food and sweets! Thanks again for everything. This was the first time that we had visited Big View in several years. It’s not very close to home for us, and the last dining experience there wasn’t great. I’m really glad that we decided to stop by. Andrew was our server, and he was great. We ordered 3 kids meals: the French toast with sausage, chicken tenders with fries, and steak with fries. Andre said he had never seen such a big portion steak for a kids menu item when he delivered it to the table. We hadn’t either! It was my son’s luck day because he’s a meat lover. His steak was cooked to temp correctly. The other kids meals were enjoyed. We also ordered a gyro and chicken souvlaki. Both are served with fries. Our beverages were replenished when needed. The kids menu items come with a dessert, so my kids chose the chocolate chip cookies. The meal was very reasonably priced. It’s difficult for our family of 5 to go anywhere and eat for less than $100. We will be back soon.
Home style cooking at a high level. The place itself is so inviting. Excellent service! Never had a bad meal here. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Breakfast weekends are busy so be prepared to wait. It’s a hidden gem! The desserts and cakes are legendary! Go here now!
I have been coming here for years and the food has never disappointed me. The chicken tender are honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The fries are just okay. Their chicken noodle soup is so comforting. When I got my wisdom teeth out I ate it every day. The prices have become outrageous though, especially for the soup.
Our family of 4 came in for dinner on a Saturday. The host was pleasant, and we were seated quickly. Our server Kat was the absolute best! She was very attentive and gave exceptional service. The food came out quickly, and the portion sizes were good. My fish was seasoned well and super crispy. Everyone enjoyed their food. We would definitely recommend this place.
Like other Google reviewers, I was fascinated by the high reviews, but it must be mostly due to the prices because the food wasn't really anything that stood out. I mean, it wasn't bad. We all enjoyed our meals, but it wasn't necessarily so great that we would return for the food specifically. The desserts must come frozen and not made in their bakery. Or if they are they must be kept frozen because the Big View Chocolate Cake was still frozen upon receiving and it made it very dry. The atmosphere is fun--lots of mirrors to magnify the space and high ceilings. The staff was pretty good too--very friendly.
Food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. If u haven't tried this place...u r short changing your taste buds...the Mac and cheese needed a little help
I have always loved diner's and this one is unlike any diner I've been to so far. It looked more like up scale dining inside and the food is so down homemade looking and tasting. I had the mushroom meatloaf with mashed potatoes and French style green beans with the fried green tomatoes appetizer and finished with the $12 brownie sundae! Lol totally worth it
