We like Harper's a lot. It's a great place to eat. The wood fired pizzas are amazing, the thin crispy crust is off the charts. The truffle fries are awesome, too. We go here sometimes just for those. The devilled eggs need some work, I have noticed some resturaunts make them the day before, and the filling gets hard in the fridge over night. That's my recommendation to make them fresh daily. Highly recommended, nonetheless!

This was my first time here. My waitress was great. She pointed out some of her favorites for me to consider since I had never been. I ordered the smoked bacon deviled eggs and the bbq chicken pizza. The eggs were good. I prefer them a little sweeter and with less filling. They had a slight vinegar flavor. The greens and dressing served with them was good also. The bbq chicken pizza was very good. I love pizzas baked in wood burning ovens. It was thin crust, and the toppings paired well together. I recommend Harper's and plan to return.

We were actually going to leave bc it didnt look like the food was going to be good. Im glad we stayed! The food was amazing.The burger was perfect! Being from SC I want my deviled eggs to have some sugar! But the bacon deviled were excellent. The pizza was okay and our mules were good.

Made a reservation Thursday and was seated immediately on Friday night vs a 20+ min wait for dining room. Ordered wedge salad (yum) and pizza, but server brought a different pizza. I ate it anyway. The combo price for the salad and pizza is pretty good...but thinking about it now and reflecting on what my bill total was, my server didn't give me the combo price. I didn't catch it when paying though...so, two mistakes by my server. But she was otherwise quite nice and generally attentive.

Had not eaten here in at least a decade. Was surprised it was not more crowded than it was on a Thursday lunch in the busy South Park area. Met an old work colleague and we are here. Both had the chicken tenders (still their best seller according to the server.). They were good. The fries were fantastic. Clean, comfortable, nice outdoor area.

I've gone here a few times for business meetings with clients. The food is very consistent and it's nice when your Server says she will check with the Chef on a special request. Yes, Harper's has a Chef and that is a nice change from a cook, which Outback and lesser restaurants have.
I had the Turkey Chili and it was really good. My clients had the Cobb Salad and those salads looked Awesome. I've had thier pepperoni pizza before and it was outstanding. Great place to go and you will not be disappointed.

Stopped in for lunch. While the menu was limited, the burger and fries were done to protection and tasty. The restaurant looks dated, though, and I was told it actually looks the exact same as it did when it open in 1992. I'll have to try dinner next!

Harper’s has amazing Danish Baby Back Ribs!!! Fantastic taste and the bbq sauce is among the best I’ve ever had. Service was great and their food is freshly made. One of the best restaurants in Charlotte!

01/23- Slow, understaffed. The salads are really small so if you are hungry or on a diet and expect more to your meal when eating a salad you should probably plan on ordering a side. The waiter seemed preoccupied. I’ll try this place again in a few months, but I miss the old location in Columbia

Great place to grab some good old American cuisine. The blackened wings are delicious 😋. Had the Harper's Burger with my favorite Pimento cheese baked macaroni. I never eat Mac and cheese anywhere else but here.

Pleasant atmosphere and great food! The sirloin steak was unbelievably juicy, the fries were perfect and the margarita pizza was delicious!
So one of our favorites! This time we had the Cesar salad and margarita pizza combo. It was great!

Wonderful warm atmosphere and great lighting. Our waitress was simply amazing and energetic. We ordered the chicken supremes which were indeed, supreme. Would definitely make the trip back again just to eat there!

Visiting Charlotte area for my Aunt’s 100th birthday, also visited my relatives and friends of my wife and I. One couple was my best friend from Elementary school through High school. We still keep in touch after 65 years!
Arranged a time to come see them and take them to dinner. Last year we were up and took them to a Cajun restaurant uptown. She had never had Crawfish Etouffee (which I asked for extra spicy) and literally choked on the heat. So this time we went to their favorite restaurant - good ol’ meat and potatoes!
My friend’s wife suggested their Chicken Supreme, their version of elevated Chicken Strips. Her and my wife ordered that dish. My friend raved about their Chili so I decided to have a bowl of that. He and I also ordered a Loaded Baked Potato and he was sharing his wife’s Chicken.
Our drinks came and we chatted for a bit, catching up on the news from the past year. Our food came shortly. My wife loved the Chicken Supreme! I tried a bite and it was crispy and fluffy, not heavily battered, and really good. All agreed. Also my baked potato was very good. However the chili was a real let down. No kick at all and fairly bland. I guess my BF’s tastes are not similar to mine.

When I lived in Beverly Woods in the 90's, this gem had just opened. It is still one of the best restaurants in Charlotte and Southpark. In 20 plus years I have never had a bad meal or experience at Harper's. Service is excellent, food is great and served quickly.

I had the Italian sausage pasta and we shared the bacon deviled eggs.
The pasta was cheesy and was a great portion size. The Italian sausage was crumbled in with the pasta and cheese sauce.
The deviled eggs tasted like they were prepared with twangy mustard and the bacon was just bacon, no coating or extra seasoning. I wouldn't order those again.
Our server was attentive during our actual mesl time. We ended up talking, oblivious to closing time until they turned up the lights and we had to leave.

Extremely disappointed. The waitress got my order wrong. Took over 10 minutes to get it right, all while the 3 other people in my party ate their meals. My beverage glass was empty the whole time. And then the waitress had the nerve to charge me for my meal! No complimentary meal or even a dessert! Horrible customer service. I would never charge someone for a meal I screwed up and couldn’t almost instantaneously fix. I won’t go back. No way.

Over priced for nothing special. Chicken sandwich wasn't too flavorful. I asked for ice water with lemon and for water no lemon no ice in a pretty small glass that had to be refilled numerous times. The server was extremely slow. The food was quick at least.

Excellent service and food. I got the chicken and waffles with grits and I have to say that was one of the best waffles ever. My father got the French toast and they accidentally brought him grits instead of bacon. Within 2 minutes they had his bacon to him. Never had to ask for refills on coffee as they were on top of it all. I look forward to another visit as I eyed a few other menu items going out that I certainly want to try.

Overall delicious food & wine, the bartenders were attentive and the managers know how to handle customers complaints. One of the servers was standing around with a McDonalds cup acting all high and mighty. Not a big deal but he was being super rude to the nice lady seated next to me. He and another server were having an obnoxiously loud conversation while we were trying to relax and eat/drink. The manager on duty was extremely nice & handled the situation appropriately. Will not stop me from coming back though (:

Husband swears by this place. I went for the first time today and was disappointed. Was looking forward to lunch but all they offered was the Brunch menu. We had to ask for a kids menu for our 1 year old at least ten minutes after we sat down. I ordered the Shrimp & Grits really looking forward to it but it was ultimately inedible. Other than whatever they used to make it spicy, it lacked any depth of seasoning and the grits was just a bowl of flavorless mush, all for $15. My service was subpar, she never asked how we were enjoying our food and when I handed her back a pretty much untouched bowl of grits she didn't even ask if everything was okay. What I ate leftover of my sons meal (grilled cheese and sweet potato fries) was good. My husband really loves it here so I'll definitely return to try again, but overall first visit was overpriced and very disappointing.

I have been to this location many times and it's usually great. Tonight was plagued with problems exacerbated by bad service. When we arrived the waiter told us our only was the Queen's Feast menu and while we didn't want all that, we opted to do it anyway. Clearly this promotion was overwhelming the restaurant's staff because there were problems all around. It ended up being a meal that costs far more than it was worth, especially considering the poor service.

My family loves this restaurant! The food is routinely very good with a fine variety of selections, as well. The staff is exceedingly courteous, prompt, and makes us feel so welcome, always!! A favorite place for this household to really enjoy!

My husband and I ate there as part of our anniversary dinner since we were already out. It was our first time eating at Harpers and we loved it! The waitress was very nice and the food was excellent! I had the ribs and pulled pork and my hubby had the steak. We both shared a cookie dessert and the blackberry mojito was the best I have tasted!! Definitely will be going back but to the one in Greensboro. We just hope it's as good if not better!!

Do not get the truffle fries.
My main course was a Southwestern chicken pizza but the tomatoes were raw ( head scratcher). Although, the Prime Rib sandwich was good.
Just use your own patience and caution when you come here.

I was seated at the bar. The server was attentive and was able to answer questions and volunteered information about the food. The food was delicious (meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans). Will certainly be back!
