Such a phenomenal restaurant that prioritizes what you're going there for... THE FOOD! Some of the best sushi I've had.
It's not really upscale, so if you're looking for a place for a fancy date night this might not be it. However, if you're looking for good quality sushi that's also priced really well then this is it! We'll definitely be back!

We visited the restaurant on a Friday afternoon. When we got here, we were promptly seated and immediately given water. They were very polite and friendly and took our order quickly. Throughout our meal, they checked on us frequently and asked us if we needed anything. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful.

been going here for years, food is always great and fresh just what I expected. staffs are friendly and awesome atmosphere. not your high end sushi but still great quality for the price. place is always pack for dinner so plan on leaving early. always a A+ in my book.

We visited on a Friday afternoon, wasn't busy. We ordered the spicy udon seafood noodles, calamari, shrimp tempura and chicken and shrimp teriyaki. Delicious meal! Great service and atmosphere! Very chill

Nice quaint understated restaurant. The food was pretty good. Particularly the fried rice had a lot more flavor than I expected. Portions are large enough to share. I'd go back if I'm in the area.

Incredible food and primary server - absolutely the best. Too many "how is everything" pass by's by auxiliary staff person .... got repetitive and like we were desired to move on. Not the intent, I'm sure, just the effect. But absolutely fabulous other than that! The teriyaki rice ball - couldn't see on digital menu - but they made it anyway. Wow.

Our server was very friendly, helpful and extremely attentive. The menu is inconceivably extensive; you won’t come here and not find at least 10 items you’d like to eat!
The food was absolutely delicious. The space is huge. This said, you really should make a reservation.
I’ll be coming here very frequently in the future!

Service was good. A little slow but we were in no rush and enjoying the afternoon. Our server was very friendly. Ordered spring rolls, gyoza, and 4 s ish i rolls: exotic, LOL, ultimate tuna roll and a grinch roll. Our favorites were the exotic and the LOL. The ultimate tuna had a Smokey flavor I wasn’t expecting and not a huge fan of but otherwise it was good. The exotic had mango which was very yummy. Overall a good place for decent sushi!

Very good sushi!! Some of the best I’ve had. Service was okay. Husband had the teriyaki beef. Said it was a bit chewy. Ginger ale soda was incredible! Also had some lychee saki. Very good. Spring rolls were also very good.

Haven’t been here in a few years but had an absolutely great experience there today. Sushi was fresh with large portions of fish in all the rolls we had. I’ve worked in sushi restaurants since 2003 and I just can’t say enough how delicious everything was. Great quality and on top of the food our service was outstanding! Our server Carson (name on our receipt) seriously gave my stepson and I the best service I’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time. I would hire her in a heartbeat if I was still managing restaurants. Can’t wait to come back!

There is NOT AYCE sushi, which was the main reason we came to this restaurant. However, their food and sushi were spectacular. We ordered the vegetable fried rice, Mango de Tango Roll, shrimp udon, and garlic sesame tofu. Very generous portions and the taste was excellent. Highly recommend!

Met up with a couple of friends to have some dinner here. It was my first visit! Overall it was fairly good although I will personally say I do enjoy Mr. Tokyo a tad more overall for sushi.
There is literally a billion of options on their menu so I recommend looking online ahead of time to get an idea of what you might want otherwise you'll be sitting there for a little bit trying to figure it out. Like many restaurants now they don't have an actual menu, you scan a QR code on the table to pull their site up and see their menu there.
I'm a little confused on one of my sauces as I was suppose to have a strawberry sauce with my candy crush roll and it definitely was sweet chili sauce with mango. Pretty disappointing.
I do appreciate that I can sub the seaweed in my sushi with soy paper as I don't like seaweed.
Overall it was a pretty good meal.

Rusans is the place I take friends who love sushi so they can have the best sushi of their lives. I have personally never found anyplace better. This weekend was no exception when we took my son for his birthday. From the appetizer to the dessert we had an amazing meal. It's probably been over a year since I've been and it's good to see that nothing has changed. The restaurant keeps getting better and better over the last 20 years.

Had a really great experience at Ru San’s in Charlotte North Carolina. Our server Carlos was great. They had a very extensive menu which included all types of sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls and a whole bunch of other things. Their drink prices were reasonable too. I had a piece of tamago, edamame, the tuna bomb sushi roll, a shrimp tempura hand roll, the tootsie roll and I had 2 sea urchin pieces. Those might’ve actually been some of the best I’ve ever had. Very fresh. I’ll definitely go back and try other things.

Great food and fast service to get your food. Fish is always fresh. Super friendly staff that know the menu super well and give out the best suggested food item that will fit your taste buds. Down fall is long waiting period to be seated, but that only because of how many people that want to eat here. Place is worth the wait though!

The food at Ru San’s has always been great. The fish is good quality and at a great price, especially for the Charlotte area. Cynthia, our server, was lovely and patient, had a great attitude, and was very helpful. A great experience for my boyfriend and I’d anniversary dinner!

Solid sushi joint tucked away in dilworth. Not too expensive and tastes fresh. Crazy busy during prime time (they do a lot of takeout) but still only waited 20 minutes on Saturday at 7pm for table of 4. Will be back and would recommend to a friend.

Not my first time here but truly my first time really experiencing what they have to offer! You have to get Sake and I love the kick of the thinly sliced ginger dipped in a little soy sauce. OMG The TINGLE 💥 The bar is a great date night spot! Beware the bartender is a cutie 😉 Service is cordial and prompt. I have no complaints! Had a ball with friends and I we will be back!!!
