Review Heist Brewery - Charlotte

Got the elegant destruction beer. Real good beer. Imperial stout. Very sweet… you can taste the bourbon flavors. Nice location and good service. Plenty of parking. Nice looking brewery and atmosphere. Beer 🍺 🍺 🍻…

I’m not a fan of breweries just for a regular everyday visit, but their Sunday brunch is a must! $20 gets you a buffet of some of the yummiest eats around! Coffee and juice are included on the bar with the price. They have everything from chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits to an omelette station. Fresh fruit and baked goods. The French toast was so good, out of this world. They also offer drink specials, I got the mimosa carafe which was only $10. Just a glass was $5 so yea that was a no brainer lol. The brunch is every Sunday from 10-2, and I highly suggest getting there early. Like before they open, I got there abt 930 just so I wouldn’t have any probs finding parking, and there were already people standing outside forming a line lol.

Five years later, Heist is due for an update and the opportunity to show off our beer culture to one of my out-of-town friends. On a Sunday afternoon out of football season, Heist was not busy and we were able to get a hightop immediately. I popped up to the counter and placed our food and beer order - we split a pitcher of their "Druid" Pilsner and I brought that back to the table. Two hours later, we had drunk the beer and eaten the flatabread and the beer cheese with breadsticks. The flat bread was tasty and well topped. The beer cheese was tangy and the breadsticks were both crunchy and soft. Delicious. There is a lot of seating inside and outside - upstairs, downstairs, a huge back room. We were at a high top in the entrance and it was cool. I was pleased with how it turned out and glad to have Heist as an example of Charlotte's fabulous beer culture.

If you never experienced there brunch you are missing a treat!! It was a cool, crisp sunny-Sunday & we decided to give it a try. Definitely was not disappointed. Everything was delicious my goodness, the shrimp and grits! Those salmon bites yummy.

Decade old Charlotte brewpub turned pillar of beer scene continues to provide reliably excellent craft beers (hazy IPA, pastry stout, fruited sours - sure - but also more traditional styles too) and delicious food. Expansive space with two bar rooms, one including table service, and a great outdoor patio. Friendly staff are happy to help you find what you’re looking for. Service is fast. Just a great place to get great beer, eat delicious food (we had the amazing cheese fries and Brussels appetizers and the chicken waffle tacos and pork tenderloin skewers - all delicious), people watch, and relax. Dog friendly.

Great food, great drinks. Parking is limited and spots are pretty tight. Seating is open and mostly group-seating long tables. Food was prepared quickly and delivered to your table. Only downside is food is a little pricey for what you get ($14 for 3 sliders is pretty steep imo), and their menu isn't as robust as it was pre-pandemic. It is convenient that you can order food and drink at all the bar, so it can all go on one tab. The guy at our bar station taking orders was awesome and never had to re-ask us our name after the first order. We'll definitely be back, but probably just for drinks from now on.

I don’t like to give less than 5 unless something happened that made me not want to come back. I’ve been here a few times and usually enjoy the food. The beer is where it’s at though, I very much enjoy their selection. We came during lunch on a Friday and it was an overall good experience. I got the Cesar chicken wrap, it was just okay. I would’ve liked to see it be saucier and maybe have Parmesan cheese in it. It was a bit dry so that’s my suggestion. We also got the quesadilla, as pictured. Overall, I’ll be back. The service was great and the atmosphere is good.

Super excited to visit on of my favorite breweries in the southeast! Heist hits on all cylinders from sourcing hops to formulating unique approaches to its NEIPAs! Love the on-site facility with extremely friendly and helpful wait staff (and even the line cooks jumped in on greeting customers! ). Enjoyed a great flatbread along with a variation of its mainstay brew, Citraquench'l.....TooQuench'l . Worth a stop when in Charlotte!

We went and had the brunch and it was delicious, and the waitresses are always friendly and informative. They usually always have a nice balance of IPA’s and Sours. Their mixed drinks are good as well, I recommend a flight and the wings, the dry rub!

Brunch did not disappoint - great patio area with a very attentive staff. Mimosa carafes came in more than orange, about 3 glasses per carafes, much better deal ordering solo. The pulled pork Mac and cheese flat bread hit the spot! The sauce was the right about of sweet and balanced. I will definitely return!

I have been to many restaurants and brew houses, this has by far been amongst the top best places to drink. We had such a great dining experience. Bryan was a terrific server who made excellent drink and menu recommendations. We had to let his manager Monica know how excellent of an experience we had. The drinks were delicious and the food was outstanding. We love in Greensboro, an hour and a half away, and I am willing to come back just to eat and drink. There is an autograph plaque from Guy Fieri but don’t let that stop you. I have no respect for that guy and think he is an insult to the food community. But, I highly recommend anyone to come here and enjoy the food, drinks, great service, and ambiance.

Great beer and food! They also have a nice outside section to eat and drink on their patio. And they also have a free and fun run club every Monday at 6:30pm if you want to join! They even raffle off free beer to the runner!

Great for a craft beer with some delicious food. Diamond, our waitress, was extremely attentive and friendly! Weekly trivia nights are on Wednesdays at 7pm, but be aware that there is only a small reserved space for it and multiple people were not able to find seats to join the game. Many of the glasses on the tables had lipstick stains and were dirty, so check your glass before you sit down! If you like very sweet sours, the Spilled Pick’n is a must-try! It tastes just like a strawberry-banana smoothie!

I ate dinner at Heist recently as part of my goal to visit every brewery in Charlotte (nearly there!), and it is one of the more restaurant-y style breweries in town. Although it was Friday night, there wasn't a wait to be seated at a table (note: the only tables I saw inside were high tops, which might be a concern if you need accessible seating). I love a hazy IPA and there were several to choose from on the menu; it paired well with my fried chicken sandwich on brioche (pro tip: add pimento cheese). We'll likely return - once we visit all of the other breweries in town, that is.

Such a great time. The atmosphere was great, the beers were delicious and the food was amazing. The Brunch Burger and chicken waffle taco's were delishous! Our waitress MaKenna was on point and answered all of our questions about the area since we are from out of town. We will definitely be back next time we come to Charlotte.
