I've been eating Pig Eating Ribs since its humble start of just a single food truck. Yet they continue to improve and add more options to their already impressive menu. The best part is that they offer cater for private events/weddings or just a fun group or family event at your home. I highly recommend the chicken wings and their pulled pork. Amazing food with top notch service from the owners and staff who genuinely care about the customers experience and the quality of their food.
One of the best BBQ places you'll find in an area that you would not expect to find good BBQ. I've had brisket all over the country and the brisket here is above most every place I've tried. My wife had the chicken wings and they were very good. You get the whole wing. She had them naked and that was a good choice. The sauces here are very good but not really needed since the food tastes so good that it doesn't need to be covered over with sauce. Very clean eating area and very friendly staff.
Mac and cheese is super legit... Cheesy, smokey goodness with delicious homemade pickles on top!! Waffle fries are super good, not over-fried.
The ribs were just meh - very tough and definitely did not fall off the bone. But the glaze on it was super tasty. Bbq sauce was also meh. Reminded me of open pit - very runny and seemingly, vinegar based.
Cornbread was some of the best we've had from a restaurant. So moist and flavorful. We will be back!
So good! I have the pleasure of working with them at Weddings on occasion too and the food is always amazing. I recommend all of their services including the restaurants and catering services.
These folks have upped their game considerably since I first visited a few years ago at their smaller location by the Charlevoix Airport. They now have a new location in a new building in town with seating and even a drive-thru. EVERYTHING they make is magic. But, may I humbly suggest the smothered fries. For $8, you'll get a giant pile of waffle fries smothered in pickled Garlic Aioli, Multiple types of cheeses and all manner of good things. Its more than a meal, it's an experience. Trust me.
We picked a hotel room across the street so we could eat here more often on vacation. Great place

We used Pigs Eatin' Ribs to cater our wedding welcome/rehearsal dinner at Depot Beach Pavilion. They brought the food truck to us and served up an absolutely delicious spread! People told us they liked the novelty of the food truck and we had numerous people tell us how much they enjoyed the food! The service was fast and friendly as well.
Booking the vendor went smoothly. They clearly answered any questions we had in a timely manner (few days at the most). They were pretty laid back and easily accommodated our requests for vegetarian meals, etc. They have done this enough that nothing seems to phase them! When we did the tasting, even the vegetarian option (black bean tacos) was incredibly tasty! The die hard meat-eaters in the group even noted they enjoyed it!
I had originally thought the name and type of food were a little too casual and plain for a wedding, but I'm so glad we looked into them further! The food is top notch and delicious! We will be making a pit stop there any time we are up that way! If you are in the area (regardless of whether you are looking for a caterer), do yourself a favor and stop by!!
I decided to try this establishment after finding a $50 gift certificate that I had won on a Facebook contest. Wow! I wish I would have found it sooner. So far I have tried the chicken corn chowder soup, which is amazing and loaded with chunks of chicken. I also tried the blue cheese coleslaw and if you are a fan of blue cheese, I highly highly recommend this. I got the pulled pork platter and it was mouth-watering. I have a Cobb salad in the fridge waiting for me which is a huge amount in a takeout container. You won't be disappointed. Try this establishment out. Fast, friendly service and super reasonable prices for them out of food that you get.
This place is off the hook. I had their brisket sandwich with mustard barbecue, and it was downright delicious! Their spicy homemade pickles are some of the best I ever ever had. I also nibbled a bit on the chicken wings, and they had a crisp and crunchy outside with a delicious and moist inside. The homemade chips are out of this world. I dislike driving through Charlevoix but would in an instant for this food! The prices are very reasonable. The taste throws in an extra benefit for not having to pay an arm and leg for good barbecue! Will come back often!
