Shoney's

Service was acceptable but the food was very substandard. My partner and I chose the buffet and got fish, fried chicken livers, macaroni salad. The fish was full of bones. I ate some and without any warning I had a bone stuck in the roof of my mouth. Upon tearing the rest of my fish apart there were 4 more small bones in the fish. The chicken livers were under cooked with blood running out when cut. The Mac salad wasn't bad but by this time I was so disgusted I couldn't eat. I didnt eat a dollars worth of food and took 2 sips of my tea and my partner did manage to eat some dessert and our bill was $32.00. Upon complaining the cashier reduced our bill to $22.00 which was the senior price...we both are 64 years old so that was no bonus. I will never eat there again and will try to deter anyone else.

Stay far far away!!! Honestly go to your local nursing home for better more flavorful food. Disappointed I didn't take pictures to share, but I'm saving your eyes the displeasure. Their "buffet" was a disgrace to other buffets. For starters all the food is overcooked and cold. Also their buffet consists mainly of 95% sides, 3% fruits and salads, then like 2% entrees. I could not get out of there fast enough. You know it's bad when all my kids only got fruit....and they even complained about that!!!

BUFFET REVIEW: For the price this place is a 3 star. The main dishes should stand out if you're gonna charge about the same price as other buffets, who have loads of more items to choose from. The mashed potatoes and all the other southern starch side dishes are good but usually wherever you go they are good. Just kinda bleh buffet overall.

I was so excited when I realized this area still has a Shoney's! It is exactly as you remember it from the 80s / 90s. They still sell the Shoney's bears up front, along with a wide selection of Shoney's memorabilia that would put CB on edge. Pies are also on sale for takeout. The brunch buffet is unparalleled with all your traditional fixins alongside some healthy favorites.

Don't come here unless you want trama. But the staff were nice. It attracks a certain breed (imbread). Behind us was a couple with a child. Having explicit conversations. And on top of that the child flung mashed potatoes in my hair. The parent acknowledged what had happened and made snarky remarks about it. We were only there for about 15 minutes because of these people. And when I went to leave they were laughing how their kid cleared the room. Family of roaches ruined my shoneys experience. But again the staff were friendly so tip them well because they deal with a lot.
