Very solid sushi. The tuna steak was DELICIOUS and the soy garlic veggies were great! Singapore noodles had a great flavor and the chicken was juicy. A larger beer selection (and a drink menu) would be nice.

I was excited to try this place. Unfortunately it was a miss for us. Our server was the bartender which I don't mind, but she seemed a little spread thin as service kicked off. We got eggrolls and 3 Maki rolls. The eggrolls were $8 and it was 2 eggrolls cut in half. The sushi rolls were very small and took about 45 minutes to get and we were one of 2 tables. One of the rolls we got was $20 and was supposed to have lobster in it. I'm not saying the Lobster was missing but it was nearly non existent. Also, the rice was old. I don't mean day old as sushi rice is. I mean stale and sorta crunchy? It was a 45 minute wait for some of the most underwhelming sushi I've had. Our server didn't finish out with us. The manager or owner came to bring us the check and asked how it was. I swear I was polite, but I did let him know that the portion seemed very small and he said they serve 8 pieces as a standard. I didn't want to make a big deal, but it wasn't really about the amount of pieces. Needless to say, I don't really think there was anything redeeming enough to give it a second chance. 2 stars cause at least our server was nice 🤷‍♀️

The most salty Ramen I've ever eaten. I got my weeks dose of sodium in one dish. Definitely not worth $20+.. 🤢

One of the BEST restaurants in Charleston and I have been to all of them multiple times. Best sushi in West Virginia. Friends from NY say it’s as good as the sushi there. Chef Evan is a master. Great staff and great venue!

A great restaurant in the heart of downtown Charleston which offers cocktails from the classic Old Fashion and Manhattan to the uniquely asian-inspired green tea martini. The is phenomenal and prepared by local legend, Chef Evan. From presentation to taste and texture, the sushi and sashimi are the highest quality and presented with culinary flair. Be warned that prices are above average, but understand that the restaurant uses the highest quality ingredients and the size of the restaurant limits the number of daily patrons. Our friends Julie and Keith were thoroughly impressed as well.

Ordered takeout, 2 crab crunch rolls and a 101 roll. The restaurant itself is beautiful, nice atmosphere in the 5 minutes I was there to pickup. Bartender was super sweet! I'm not a big fan of raw sushi, so these rolls were amazing. Everything was delicious, down to the rice. Definitely recommend for some good eats. Only problem, I didn't order more!!

I’ve heard a bunch of positive feedback about this restaurant and I wanted to try it out for myself. I walk up to the restaurant front and immediately had confusion because people were inside but the closed sign was in the window. I walked inside and mentioned it to the hostess, not a care in the world about my comment. Noticed several other people who saw the same sign as I and walked away instead of walking inside. The server was very pleasant. I ordered 3 sushi rolls which took around 30 mins to prepare and serve to the table. If there were more than 4 tables, 30 mins wouldn’t be a terrible wait but for the amount of patrons inside, very slow service overall. When the food arrived, the display looked great. Beyond that, it was some of the worst sushi I have had. The entire roll collapsed upon grabbing them with the chopsticks. The speed I needed from plate to mouth before they would fall apart made the meal rather unenjoyable. I personally wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for their sushi. I cannot speak to the other items on their menu but overall I was not impressed with the positive reviews I had heard before.
