Mcdonald's

I ordered through the app. Finding a curbside spot for pick up was a bit confusing. There were three signs that I saw, two of which were for drive through. I had to park in one of the ones that said drive through as the other was occupied. I’m guessing this is common because she had no issues coming us. Our order came to us quickly. We had a few special requests like half and half tea, and swapping sausage for bacon on the muffins. Our order was made correctly. The muffins were a bit crunchier on the edges than I’d prefer. They tasted good though. If we’d of had time and it had been warmer out we’d of made use of the outdoor dining. They have the old stone, round tables with attached benches I remember from childhood. I miss those tables as they were sturdy and were hardly ever dirty. Maybe next time we visit the area we can make use of the outdoor seating.

I am astounded at the low rating for this restaurant. I have been pretty much a resident of Downtown Charleston for the last 4 months, I had to have my baby early so we both have been in the hospital. Being tired from the stress and everything with being in the hospital, it's convenient to be able to grab a quick hot meal on my way to and or from the hospital. I have visited many McDonald's up and down the Eastern seaboard, there's a McDonald's not too far from where I live but I have never had such incredible service that I can recall. The service is always courteous, fast, the food is always fresh. I had one issue where an item was missing from my bag, however that was quickly corrected at my next visit no questions asked. I do not understand how this restaurant has a less than five star rating because for the four months that I've been going here I have zero complaints. I am astounded at the level of productivity. I am never in the drive-thru for more than 5 minutes. Whatever crew and management they have going on right now is the one that deserves at least $15 per hour. They actually deserve more than that. I have not been to a better fast food restaurant. This is one thing about having to be down here that made it more pleasant.

This McDonald's location is a bit better than the ones that I go to! It is centered in the smack of Downtown Charleston, and yet, provides views of the Medical district and its surrounding hotels! I ordered a Bacon cheeseburger and my friend ordered 20 pieces of nuggets and fries, and only paid $33.68 for everything! September 17, 2023 at 11:28 AM

I've been to McDonald's coast to coast and this is hands down one of my top three favorite locations. The staff is always hardworking and courteous, algunos tambien hablan Español. Sometimes they seem at the end of their rope or a bit peeved, but its McDs I can only imagine the crud folks put em through. The food is *perfect* 8/10 times, the other 2 times the food is comparable to any other location, still tasty! My favorite quality about this location, however, is how many people dine in here. It feels like a trip back to the 90s with the dining area full of families, students, and others, which creates a neat atmosphere of the local Charleston community. At the end of the day, it's McDonald's, so don't expect too much, but this place goes above and beyond in my opinion.
