The Cracked Egg - Charleston - Photo album

The service was really good and we enjoyed our breakfast. The portions were awesome and the pancakes are huge!! I do wish they had regular hash browns instead of diced potatoes. I was hoping on it only because another review had a picture of hash browns. Other than that, I thought it was great!!
Went at lunchtime and was surprised the place wasn't packed (the parking lot is shared between several businesses and might be a deturrant)! Glad to have a diner in West Ashley reminiscent of the old Alex's (but a step up). The food was delivered exactly as ordered and exceeded expectations. Service
Need to fine tune the details, the order came out in 3 separate peices. I can understand the pancakes coming slightly behind the main meal but they forgot the bacon which came later as a side. The food was really good but like I mentioned the pack of completeness of it. I sensed the kitchen was shor
They have large portions. I have visited twice. The first time, I had the pancakes which are massive portions. Then I had the simple breakfast combo. Each meal felt like home cooking. The orange juice was fresh and they offer free coffee Tuesdays. You also receive discount with church bulletin.
If you're truly hungry for some breakfast, this is the spot. And if you get the Cracked Egg Breakfast...just get a to-go-box LOL.
I took my daughter (3) here for an early lunch and we both enjoyed it. The pancakes are so good we didn't need syrup. My daughter really enjoyed the bacon and eggs. The waitress and manager were very kind.
AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! Everything was so tasty! Friendly staff, great food and great prices. Who knew that such a culinary hidden gem was right here in our own backyard! Definitely some stern competition for the fine dining restaurants in historic downtown Charleston.
If you haven’t eaten here yet then shame on you. Cracked egg is an amazing breakfast spot with great Lowcountry vibes. The staff is nice and the food came out quickly. You’ll also have the pleasure of meeting one of the owners while dining. 5 stars!!!
Going here after hurricane Dorian was a swell idea. This place had everything except spinach. With one waitress and over 20 people to serve we still got our food in short amount of time. Food was hot and delicious. They actually seasoned their meat. Will come again after the place returns to normal.
I would consider my wife and I foodies in Charleston and kind of stumbled in here by accident, and now we don’t understand the bad reviews. Wait staff was very friendly and prompt, all the food we had was very very good. The croissant, fries, and biscuit all tasted great and the sausage gravy was so
Service was excellent. They accommodated our 10-mo old grandson with a high chair before we asked for it. Let it be known that what they call "hash browns" aren't described on the menu but they are fried potatoes or home fries in my book!
Great unique options for breakfast. Great service. The staff makes you feel like family. We’re visiting from Georgia and have eaten here two days in a row. We highly recommend.
This was my second visit to this diner. I had the $4.00 make your own sandwich. The service was excellent and the sandwich was amazing. The coffe was very good. Everything was hot and served by very attentive and smiling servers. We are definitley going to return!
On a Sunday morning of packed breakfast places, they got us seated quickly. Our waitress Ashley was quick and attentive. To top it all off the food was excellent, and for a good price!
This was a great little place. The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly. We got The train wreck and the biscuit French toast. We are from Ohio and if I cannot figure out how to duplicate the biscuit French toast I will definitely be taking a trip back into Charleston
