I was a Rio Chico aficianado who was romanced away by the latest Mexican Bar, but I have come back home. Why?
- neverending chips and salsa

As a 3rd generation immigrant and CA native I am dangerously demanding with portions and presentation ('yes, but, what would Grandma order?'). Beware the portions - they are giant. I heartily recommend fajitas, tamales y tacos. Accept that you will have extras for lunch tomorrow and order the large Dos Equis on draft or the Medium Margaritas (large only if someone else is driving). Come for your BDay, but don't ask the staff to sing for you - that is for visitors; as a local, order a round of lemon drops and the fajitas to share.

We love this place! We frequent there at least once a week. Food is always so tasty and I always leave with a Togo box. Good for the wallet too! The staff are always friendly and you can tell they take pride in their restaurant as the place is always clean and tidy. You can’t find a better Mexican restaurant!!

Always a pleasure to go here for lunch after church! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The food is also great. I usually get fajita quesadilla. Get a cheese dip or some guacamole for your chips. Also their mixed drinks are very tasty!

Rio Chico will always be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Charleston! The employees go above and beyond to make your experience special and after going a few times they become quick friends! If anyone is ever in the area this is such a great place to check out!!

Throughout the years, I have used Rio Chicos on Folly Road for catering various events. Antonio, the manager, has gone above and beyond to accommodate whatever is needed. The taco bar is always a hit and plentiful! I would highly recommend Rio Chicos for your next event!

This gem of a restaurant is located to the left of Publix on folly Blvd. Authentic Latin American dishes served in a family atmosphere. They've got all your favorites and more. Friendly folks excellent food and cold drinks at the bar. Check it out!
