Off Track Ice Cream

One of the first things we do when we visit a city is research Restaurants, Coffee, and Ice Cream. I have tried Ice Cream all over the country at many of the most famous Ice Cream shops, and I’ve had some incredible Ice Cream! I can say unequivocally that Off Track is the best ice cream I’ve had in my life in any city I’ve ever visited! We visited on the first day of our trip and ended up there multiple days in a row, and have no regrets about it! Every single flavor we tried was so great on the palate, the bases were inventive with their tasting notes, and the ingredients were top notch. The quality of the cream was insane, you could feel the fat content of the dairy on the spoon as you ate it, it lingers on your taste buds. If I ever visit Charleston again I will be here every single day of my trip. The service was incredible as well, they were kindly giving samples of every flavor and describing each one in detail. The building itself was cool as well, very historical feeling but nice and clean. If you’re looking for a good ice cream shop in town search no further, go here as soon as you can in case you want to go every day like we did!

Ingredients are locally sourced, and the ice creams were all delicious! My favourite was definitely the cookies and cream - they mix the Oreo bits twice, once in the ice cream base itself, and also got chunks through it. The vanilla was amazing as well. You can see the bits / dots of vanilla through it. The chocolate wasn’t too sweet. Espresso was good. They do all their basic flavors extremely well. Tried a few of their funkier ones too.

Best ice cream I’ve had in a long time. I got the key lime pie and it was delicious. Excellent flavor and filled with graham cracker crust. Every flavor my family got was delicious too. The only think I would say is that the mint chocolate chip tasted like I ate about 6 pieces of spearmint gum at once. But still a good flavor if that’s your thing.

Nothing makes our day better than grabbing a scoop before leaving "the city". The non-dairy options here were impressive! I am always on the look out for great texture and flavor options without the cream. We will definitely be back! Really cute space and right off King. I haven't had a milk alternative shake in so long, it was absolutely delightful. Definitely a must if you need a yummy option for everyone.

So many ice cream places to choose from here. This one was close to the hotel and had a good rating. It was very good with several flavors to choose from. I got the hot fudge sundae, which was good, and I would get it again. However, I would recommend getting the four flavor flight that I saw available after I got the sundae. I would have liked trying four flavors.
