Great spot with good beer. The staff were super sweet and personable. Can’t recommend this place enough. Live music too. I really enjoyed their lager.

We love popping up with Fairy Hair at Palmetto Brewing! The staff is amazing and so helpful! The manager, Leslie, is the best. She is welcoming and always makes sure we have a successful event! The beers are tasty and the vibes are on point! Thanks for everything! -Fairy Hair Tinsel by Tibby

Good vibes and a ton of brews on tap. I went down on a Sunday around 3 and it wasnt too busy and there was live music. It was a good time and very relaxing. A must stop if you are heading downtown.

Not bad. Broad selection of beers from them and some of their sister/affiliate breweries. Standard brewery stuff - they do flights, and they had a food truck in front. It might have just been down to timing of when I went, but the patio area was kinda quiet, not much of a vibe at that time. If I'm in town again I'll have to swing by when there's more going on!

Palmetto is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. They were established long before the craft beer boom. Having stood the test of time speaks volumes. A great venue, superb friendly service and large variety of quality beer. Food truck on site a big plus. They offer flights allowing you to taste many of the beers on tap. Plenty of parking . Certainly earned 5 stars.

I’ll first start off by stating that this brewery is the oldest brewery in the state! The service was great and the beer was good. The inside is not dog friendly but outdoors is. I highly suggest a visit for pint so that you can have beer from the oldest brewery in the state.

What a fun brewery! Arrived when there was a private event in the main room but was able to snag a corner in the smaller side bar area. Delicious IPAs with just a very large selection of great beers. Once the main room opened, there was live music playing. They also allow dogs which of course makes any place even better!! Bought myself a hoodie. Definitely recommend!

Palmetto Brewing Company has the distinct honor of being the first brewery in the city and they have set the bar pretty high! Their seating space indoors (main bar and their "speakeasy") and outdoors (a courtyard with benches and games) are fantastic and offer quick and efficient service no matter where you are. Their bar tenders are upbeat and outgoing, plus meeting a Mass transplant while I was on vacation was a bonus and made me feel like home was closer than I realized. Their selection of brews and cider is awesome so there is something for everyone. I was really pleased by their various merchandise and the prices, which are very reasonable. There is also a cute hidden bird from Airtight Artwork, which is one of my favorite upcycle artists nested on the merch wall. When visiting Charleston again I would definitely come back here and highly recommend this place to all who enjoy a cold, refreshing drink!

There aren't alot of craft brews in Charleston. Stopped in to try it and we're we glad we did. They have tons on tap, live music, and a food truck whipping up some good eats. While we were there, there was some live music. They did a great job o keep the vibe up and the drinks flowing! This is worth a stop if your in Charleston!
