The food at this place is AMAZING. Do yourself a favor and get double the amount of Mac n cheese as you think you will eat. It is to die for.

Food was good. Server was not really personable and kind of slow even though there was only 2 other tables seated. We had the burnt ends special. Highly recommend! The pulled chicken was moist and delicious. The different BBQ sauces were very good and offered a nice variety of flavors. The brisket burger was very good. Not sure you could go wrong with anything on this menu. Recommend using the Cumberland St Entrance Parking deck. It's less than half a block from the restaurant on the same side of the street.

Bopped in on a cold dreary March Sunday for lunch. Had a half rack (on special) for $14, a dry rubbed version so I could try each of the three BBQ sauces. Duck fries are great but not worth the extra $2 upcharge. Macaroni and cheese was quite amazing. Pork ribs couldn't even hold onto the bones. Great service, nearly had to the place to ourselves. If you want focus on BBQ, and not a a place that generalizes on a broader offering, this is your place.

I'm not the biggest barbeque fan, but this place changed that very quickly!! The pulled pork is melt in your mouth amazing. I can't tell ya what the sauces are like because i got a taste of the pork and forgot to put sauce on my sandwich. Lol everyone was very pleasant to deal with. Very happy i decided to try the place!

10 of us enjoyed lunch. Each meal was great. The pork and chicken Barbeque platters and sandwich were wonderful. We ordered the Alabama white sauce which was great as well as they had four different sauces on the table. The sides of macaroni and cheese collard greens baked beans french fries and others were just wonderful

I’m sure that this restaurant is good based off of all of the personal recommendations that I have been given lately. But I wouldn’t know since my wife and I were just basically told to leave due to improper planning of a private party that they had today. We will try again another day I suppose. Edit - My wife and I gave Cumberland St Smokehouse another shot yesterday and we were both thoroughly impressed. As you can see by the photo that was taken after the meal was competed, nothing food related remained in the plate. Everything we tried was phenomenal and our only complaint was that the platter portion size was a bit small and left us both wanting more.

Good spirits and food. Prices were reasonable. We enjoyed our visit here and I can recommend the pork rinds as a unique and memorable treat. The location is easy to find in the French Quarter as well. Plus the interior is nicely decorated in an easy-going but not ostentatious manner. The vibe was chill and low-key when we stopped by in between lunch and dinner so I can't say how busy it gets during rush hour. All in all, a good place for good BBQ!

My 8 year old and I were on vacation in Charleston before he goes back to school. We found this restaurant because we had been walking in the heat all day, and were hungry, tired and thirsty. I found the people waiting on us the be very friendly and personable, and I personally enjoyed the food (I'm from Texas so I know good food and bbq). My son had the pull pork sandwich and mac n cheese from off the kids meal and I had wings and fries. His sandwich was good, the Mac n cheese was just ok, but he's 8 so he didn't care and my wings and fries were really good. I was a nice refreshing break from the Charleston heat and we lucked up on a great place in my opinion.
