Tasty Thai & Sushi

I love this place so much. For the many years I’ve been in college and then graduate school, it’s been keeping me going with amazing food. The waitstaff is polite and really knowledgeable about Thai dishes and cuisine, and the prices for Charleston are very fair (especially for the large amount of food you get!) Finally, the food itself is delicious. My favorite dishes are probably the Chicken Pad Prik, Pad Thai, and Tofu Fried Rice. However my girlfriend has recently been getting their pork ribs, which has made me start to crave them now. The sushi is well made and you can get a combination of Thai food and sushi if you drop in for lunch. It’s a great deal! Please consider stopping by next time you’re around King Street and are craving some authentic spicy Thai flavor.

As with a lot of buildings downtown, the inside of this restaurant smells a little weird...but that's downtown for you. The food was amazing, though - I've been struggling to find a good thai place since moving back into the area, but I've finally found it! The lunch portion was huge (I had leftovers) and reasonably priced, for downtown (about $10-11). I definitely want to go back soon to get my next pad thai fix :)

Tasty Thai is one of my favorite downtown choices - especially for their sushi! Great selection of nigiri and rolls, but also have noodles and rice-based dishes if that's more your style. I almost always also get the seaweed salad. The staff is very friendly - Be-be in particular is always a delight. Stop in if you're on King Street!

1st time there with my best friend and we enjoyed the happy hour specials. Our server, Be-Be was excellent. She went above my expectations. Reminded me in my server days. She recommended the Basil Fried Rice which was amazing. Will definitely be my new spot for Thai food. 2nd time trying Thai in Charleston since I moved back and this was the best choice.

The thai food and sushi was tasty.....get it?😋 Try the Pad See Eu, it's very good. I also sampled the White Thai draft beer and I highly recommend it. We got our food within 5 minutes of ordering....great service! Prices were different than advertised online, but still worth the bill that will be set in front of you with delicious mints to freshen your breath and kiss the beautiful date that accompanied you.
